That was one of the most unreal sets of reads I've ever seen. Ban Manaphy was just unbelievably locked in there.
Mana didn't make the right reads everytime but they made such solid plays when it mattered the most, not mentioning the excellent teams they brought
@@melikmourali2072 Yeah, you can't be right 100% of the time but it speaks to how talented they are that they could get such a drastic lead that early on, this deep into a tournament. Great stuff

Jim, a post tournament video regarding the off meta picks and how they've thrived in this tournament bringing victory to players is in order. Miltank crushing it here and gligar carrying another set is just insane.
hyper beam tyranitar is the most godzilla tar set i have ever seen, and it is great.

This is insane. The cow is drinking nutritious milk in the middle of the battle. This is a massive power play.
Endill seemingly didn't protect on earlier turns to lull Ban Manaphy into a false sense of security, only to click their first protect on an explosion turn!!
BREAKING: Miltank is OU.
Band Gyrados is a great underrated option. You get the bigger damage rolls without having to DD up. It takes some gaming but works great on teams with Mag/Celebi. I usually run a jolly set with EQ, double edge, facade, and HP Ghost/Rock/Flying/or Bug. The hidden power depends on who your team struggles most with; EX: HP Rock for Molt/Zard or HP Ghost for Gengar. HP Flying is a reliable STAB option for more general damage. Facade is nice for when you need a second status sponge. Pert and jolt also make good partners on band Gyrados builds.
Fun fact : If Endill was running any of the Smogon sets for Metagross, he wouldn't have lost it to CB Gyarados. Meta must have been adamant max atk and max speed (so 239 speed I would assume), with no bulk, against Adamant max atk Gyarados with max speed (261, right below 262 which is Max speed Jolly Metagross) . Really unfortunate
That first game was like an And-1 crossover but he missed the layup

Not quite yet I think its a pretty good surprice pocket pick that notably ISNT a one off trick that depends on a gimmick so it works well surpricingly often but its bulk falls just baaaarely short for to her be a fully staple mon
Miltank would be top tier if it was a ground type with the same setup. Its inability to resist damage from key meta elements definitely hurts its OU viability.
Miltank is my favorite mon. Before I knew anything about high level battling, I used to wipe the floor with my friends in stadium 2 with a curse EQ rock slide milk drink set
Very impressed by the resilience in terms of both team construction and mental fortitude on behalf of both players. They both seemed totally immune to tilt!

How does this man even haul those nuts around you'd need a wagon to move after that focus punch in front of mence.
Even if the metagross had zero bulk + adamant banded gyarados, it's still a roll to kill with earthquake so that was pretty unfortunate for endill.

I think support milltank can really be useful. Milk drink, heal bell, seismic toss and t-wave might be a good moveset to annoy stall teams.
But why? You can play the same set on Blissey...

Mama milk was heavily Gaming, ha ha. The ice beam rng freeze should had been abandoned after the third attempt and just should had focus on earthquakes instead.

Unfortunate luck at the end there of Game 1 aside, Blissey reminding everyone it is a Top 6 Pokemon with this match.
Ban Manaphy must have recently been playing some Gen II OU, with this Miltank faith.
