i worked for Roehl, and you do not make any where near that kind of money. I am from KY home of good freight, and i only averaged 700 bucks a week with them. I drove for them for like 7 months. I was suposed to be out 11 to 14 days and home 3, but i was always late getting home, plus i had to split up my home time. no good.
I trained for roehl and worked there for 15 months. I've had a few 3100 mile weeks but most of ever made was 1480 with those miles AND student pay with per diem.
I drive for Roehl. Flatbed trailer. At the end of year one, I got paid an average of $0.787 per mile. I’m home for 7 days after being out for 7 to 8 weeks. My first truck was a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia and after a year I got a 2024 model. The pay is decent if you’re getting enough miles and loads. I’ve had weeks at which the pay was certainly over $2100, even after taxes, although that happens rarely. If you do a good job, you should think about $1400 - $1500 after taxes weekly, after the first year.

Ikr,, I make $80k, work Sunday-Thursday, off 9 paid holidays, home everyday.. I never would go OTR again. You spend too much time working and hardly no time with ya family. To each his/her own tho

You’re in for a rude awakening! Be prepared to fall behind in child support. If you have a house note and a car note be prepared to lose one of them unless you have a significant other or help from someone else. I pay CS, and after CS and taxes in the beginning your checks SUCK! Hopefully you’re gonna be national. Also to make money, you have to stay out at least 30 days at a time if you stay out 11-14 days you’ll be in Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota (if you’re a ”flatbed driver” I can’t speak on dry vans or reefers. Good luck!
With my experience and this may be the same for everyone but when you stay out 11-14 they keep you in the “dead zones” Iowa/Minnesota/wisconsin! You will definitely not make any money that way in those states let’s say you drop off early on a Monday you may not get another load until Tuesday or Wednesday. Not trying to be negative just telling you what my classmates and I have experienced and gone through just staying out 11-14 days I did it once never again. Good luck to you bro hopefully you won’t experience the same things. Also stay on your FM let them know as soon as you’re unloaded.
I drive for walmart make a lil over 2,000 a week i work 5 days off 5 days. Also they have 5 on 2 off, 4 on 4 off 6 on 3 off team drivers 6 on 3 off $480 a day

I made 78K in my first year with Roehl and was home 7 weeks during that first year. So basically 78K : 45 weeks of working is an average of $1733 for workweeks or $1500 if you count the weeks at home too, during my first year.

This is all cap. Roehl is trash and I could go on all day about it. Just take out a small loan for cdl school or try to get on a local company that will train you. Don’t fall for that “1 year otr before you can go local” bs. You’ll never know until you apply. The most I ever took home was half what bro said in the title. And it’s 7 days off after 35 days. 14 days only gets you 3 days off. And their freight sucks. They regularly give me 200-300 mile loads. And being flatbed it’s worse since I gotta spend more time securing/unsecuring. They don’t pay me for that. Only miles and tarping but not every load is tarped either. And the little they pay you for tarping you could make just as much driving considering how long it takes to tarp. In other words, flatbedding for them isn’t even worth it. You’ll make the same at the end of the week but you gonna work way harder for it. And they don’t prorate the contract. So if you drive 119,999 miles out of your 120,000 and quit you still owe the whole 7k which is why I said go to a private school. You can go to school for like 3-5k. And for the little they pay you they’ll have you running HARD. And then they’ll still call you to say you did wrong. They don’t have your back. They make us flatbedders take pictures of our securement and it always has to be to DOT standard. And Roehl policy wants a little extra on top of that. If it’s not perfect they will threaten you until you fix it. I started saving pictures and just resending the same ones over and over so they stop bothering me. It takes too much time to do it perfect every time and costs me money. They strict af with everything and are always looking for a reason to blame you and throw you out like garbage. They don’t care about firing you since you’ll owe them that 7k anyway. And there’s new people coming in every week. I’m quitting over Christmas break to do linehaul. I put up with them much longer than I should have. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it would get better but hell no. This is your warning to stay away.

ROEHL’s National Drivers 11-14 days out gets you three days home time, 30 days or more out gets you seven days home time.

Roehl is a great company. The owners father started it with a dump truck in 1962. You'll tarp 80 percent of the time, but its Legit

If it’s not perfect they will threaten you until you fix it. I started saving pictures and just resending the same ones over and over so they stop bothering me. It takes too much time to do it perfect every time and costs me money. They strict af with everything and are always looking for a reason to blame you and throw you out like garbage. They don’t care about firing you since you’ll owe them that 7k anyway. And there’s new people coming in every week. I’m quitting over Christmas break to do linehaul. I put up with them much longer than I should have. I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking it would get better but hell no. This is your warning to stay away.

Get your CDL tough out the year to work back that training and get the experience then move on to a better paying job. Y'all have the wrong mindset.
