Lotti's take back was way too big on her forehand. She was way behind the ball or framed a lot of them because of it. Her winner at 8:26 was clearly not where she was trying to hit it - she was just too far behind it.
Karue really follows his own advice. You don't see him going big on every ball, he plays alot of like neutral quality balls, and then hits good shots when he can. Really lets the ball tell him what to hit. What an absolute legend.
People need to understand that Karue's neutral balls are high quality (i.e., how early he takes it, respectable pace, accuracy). It is not attackable. This is not afforded to the lower rated esp when playing better opponents.

I'd watch Karue play with anybody. He is so simple and smooth. His timing and leverage let him really clock the ball. But he's under such control that he can do it consistently. I feel that if his opponents played better in this match, or if Tiffany had not been playing well, that he would've just raised his game and changed strategies. That's not a knock on anyone, Karue is just that good. Watch him play his old UCLA mate, Marco Giron, #73 on the ATP. Then you'll see the level he can go to if it's called for and how big his serves can really be. It was fun watching today and congrats again for reaching this particular subscriber goal. (btw, Karue beat Marcos)

Winston: me when I’m just a smidge too aggressive. Lotti: Looks so frustrated because I think she can play better and make better shots but needs to be relaxed and confident like Karue- not easy sometimes playing doubles.

Winston, compared to your forehand, I wonder why power does not transfer well in your serves. Clearly it is not a matter of strength. Flexibility, or mistiming or lack of stretch -shortening cycle, or some baggage from old habits. I hope your lesson went well.

Love Karue’s commentary at the end. Tiffany is clearly a strong doubles player. Lotti makes great hits but it appears as though she’s more used to singles play and not so much doubles. In that particular scenario, when partnered with Lotti, my opinion is Winston should move around a lot more. Play up front on Lotti’s first serve since she has a great first serve, move back a bit on her second, maybe stay back a bit to give a little cushion and support if Lotti hits down the line and into the player at the net but move forward and press the attack when the opportunity presents itself. If you stay in the one spot, your opponent also knows where you are at all times.
Yall definitely started off well, but Karues definitely freaking godly but his partner Tiffany was just as good at closing out points at the net. Win win yall did good though ! Better luck next time Lotti y Winston! 🙂

Can you comment on why Winston played on the ad (backhand) side and Karue played on the deuce (forehand) side? i never know which side to take in mixed doubles and this didn't help me. lol.

Chase didn't want to play Majeed when so many wanted it. I can't imagine him wanting to play Karue. My gosh, Karue played at UCLA and was a touring pro. He makes very few mistakes. There's a big level difference. No offense to Chase.
@@jerryg9581 Understandable, but I don't think anyone would watch that with the expectation of Chase having a fair chance (unless they are completely ignorant). It's more of just witnessing an interesting matchup. Everyone knows that a 5.5 has no chance against a 7.0, but everyone is also interested in how it would play out. Still, I respect Chase's choice. I'd still love to see more of him on the channel, especially singles. He's got a super interesting playstyle!
Lotti is a hotti. I didn't realize how excellent of a player she is. She basically held her own again a pro player, plus she smoked a few balls at Karus. Sweet channel; great content. Keep it up Winston.

Yeah, Lotti was on very high level on serve and ground stroke, almost matching Karue.
Karue was very clearly not hitting out on the ball… if he really tried she would not be able to keep up
