Yes this is Trivium’s masterpiece. However, the newest masterpiece IMO “Amongst The Shadows and The Stones” came off their most recent album. It’s definitely worth checking out. Cheers!
This band is genuinely put together perfectly after Alex bent joined. Both guitarists and the bassist are all vocalists so their live performances is just amazing teamwork
Would recommend the the title track off the 3rd record "The Crusade" was sort of the "Pre" masterpiece if you will. It is purely instrumental and isn't as well rounded as Shogun but it is a fierce track for sure. Anything off of "Ascendancy" "Shogun" or their last 2 records you can't go too wrong.
They need to re-record this song with Alex behind drums. Don't change anything but Matt's very much upgraded vocals and Alex just like they did with Pillars of Serpents which is, in my opinion, their most underrated song. By the way, Danny Elfman was the singing voice behind Jack Skellington
So, this is the last song of the album. The deluxe edition has 3 more songs, including an amazing cover of Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden, but this song is such a great conclusion to the album. Shogun is the band's most complex and epic in the traditional sense. It's very dominant.
Trivium is ok in my opinion. They were never really a band that stood out to me (personal preference). Still well executed and crafted musicianship which is my biggest compliment. Amazing reaction brother. You should check out Slayer- Disciple.
Trivium is the band that really got me into more screaming metal. They have the perfect amount of clean vocals so that my past self enjoyed it and enough screaming for my past self to get into it
You should react to every song from Ascendancy and Shogun. Generally, those albums are the peaks of the band for most fans and no song is weak. You'd have a great time.
To me this album Shogun a masterpiece! This album still the Best! My first introduction to Trivium is when i saw them supporting Slipknot U.S tour I think 2008? I may of heard of them in early 2000's but my first time seeing Trivium live was on the All Hope Is Gone tour.
Trivium's 4th album, Shogun, was their all time masterpiece although their 8th album, The Sin and the Sentence i would say a little bit below Shogun but that album was also a banger and yeah, the title track was the last track on the album.
Trivium is badass. Ascendancy 2005, Shogun 2008 - golden era of Travis Smith's double pedal on the drums, but they sucked live cause of him and their second golden era is just right now since 2017 with Alex "Octopus" Bent on the drums, Matt fucked up scream-voice after throat injury, but they became super tight live because of Bent on drums, latest 2 albums are in the same tier with Shogun and have most impressive drum lines I've ever heard iml.

Matt's vocals have degraded after this release and Travis was the best drummer for this band at the time please stop this album has perfect production
