The extra bag of parts contained in the Piano at 4:13belong to set 75308 R2-D2. Weird they would end up in a piano build of all places, I guess these weren't the droids they were looking for.
I can only speak for myself but Lego customer service is really nice. I remember I lost a couple pieces to my lego NES controller and customer service sent me a whole bag to build an entire other NES controller. I could see alot of people with that set lying to get a player 2 controller so the fact they still gave people parts to build the other controller is really cool
@@austygo3563yeah agreed one time I was moving and had a partially built Lego set and the bags were loose and one ripped open somehow and about a dozen parts were missing and Lego just sent them to me.
The mystery mini bag seems likely to have come from the R2-D2 set (75308-1), since the set inventory contains all of the Dark Blue Panel 1x2x1, Dark Blue cheese slope, exactly 3 Light Bluish Gray Slope with Cutouts, and a lot of the blue Technic pins. Probably included in bag 8, from the look of it?
In the 10 years that I’ve been building Lego as an adult, I’ve kept all of the little extra bits and pieces that come with my sets. I’ve never been fortunate enough to get an entire bag but I still think I’ve got a good 2 to 3 kg of tiny little bits and studs and connectors and you name it. I think I’ve got it.
Here’s a video idea. What LEGO piece is the most common to get extras of? Is it the 1x1 plate? The round 1x1 tile? The stud? Or maybe even the cheese slope?
I once got a second copy of a day 8 build (gift wraping station) from the Avengers advent calendar instead of the one for day 12 (mini Helicarrier), fortunately the customer service sent me the missing little bag, so ultimately I ended up with a handful of extra basic bricks!
I once got an extra Alan Grant head and no Ellie head with my Brachiosaurus Discovery set. I got the correct head straight from Lego within a few days.
My Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron set also has a lot of extra pieces. The car is sturdy and all the mechanical functions works great, but it was weird to see this many spare parts after a build. :D
5:39 yep speaking of scammers just had my first experience… gf purchased the 25th anniversary R2-D2 for me, and i didn’t realize it had packing tape over the opening. went to bag 2 looking for Darth Malak and realized it was cut open and scotch taped closed. thankfully target was understanding and allowed me to exchange for an unopened one
I already have enough small pieces to kill someone I mean I've already sorted all mine one by ones and two flat pieces into wedge pieces into whatever it's just all in there so if I was going to think about a world map I think I just try and get a grid and maybe make one of my own if you make Fable in lego
Things that I usually put in the spare bag, but are counted towards the piece count: - extra stud shooter studs - brick separators - hair for helmeted figures - leftover pieces for Dreamzzz alt builds - the random carrot in set 71457
I'm working on the galaxy Art set, I got a gold crowbar piece in the first bag and an extra glow in the dark piece. Half way done, let's see what other goodies it comes with 😂
When I opened my box of the GWP Forest Hideout, I was very happy to find a second bag 1. Bag 1 contains the base of the build and the minifigures.😊 Pretty bizarre, as barely 3 bags fit in the box.
The Tallneck from Horizon is the only Set I bought in like 5 Years and there were so many extras that there is just a weird stick built of all the different studs, one by ones and a few handle-type pieces laying on my desk since then.
Part of that is that Watcher had 3 different colors for the eye, red, orange, and blue. Each of those came with a second stud. Of the 6 studs, you'll only use one of them at a time. Then there were a lot of other small unique parts that you got spares of. The gold swords are the ones that come to mind, but there are others as well.
I was one of the unfortunate ones where I got two of the same bag of parts and a completely missing bag. I had gotten myself the NASA Space Shuttle Discovery #10283 for Christmas, and when I opened it to inspect the bags. That’s when I discovered that I had two #4 Bags and no bag #14. So, having to deal with missing pieces before. I got on the horn with LEGO Customer Support immediately and told them what happened. After jumping through a few hoops, I was able to get things straightened out. A week later, I got my missing bag. Then went on to finish my build. It’s one of my favorite builds to date. I have it with my Saturn V that you showed in the video along with the Perseverance Rover.
don't you love it when instead of getting extra pieces, an ENTIRE BAG is missing from the box? (This happened to me once, with the modular boutique hotel)
I have had missing pieces but not a missing bag. This was for my Harley Davidson Fat Boy, I had two missing pieces for the engine. Luckily I could get some similar pieces from my inventory of extra parts to complete the build
I remember getting 2 2x4 plates instead of 2x3 in the barad dur set, it didnt affect the build bc lucly it was used more to compleate the build for better looks than anything complex inside it
I've only built a few sets of late. Three botanicals and the Tallneck set from Horizon: Forbidden West. No duplicates, no omissions, and only the standard number of small piece extras.
I noticed that the appollo 11 set wanted me to put 3 astronauts on the moon part but historicly only 2 actually walked on the moon so I'm counting that as an extra microfigure
I'll give Lego credit in that as much Lego as I've ever bought, missing, incorrect, and extra pieces is a pretty rare occurrence. The few times it's happened customer service was really good in replacing the missing pieces quite quickly, and with little hassle in making the request. I've never got this many extra pieces though lol. One can hope. Well... I don't this this "counts" because the pieces were there on purpose, but my Bonsai tree, because I chose to just have green leaves and not the white and pink, gave me an entire bag of pink frogs that I have as spares for... well not really sure what to use them for lol but I'll find something eventually I'm sure. The Adidas shoe set contains an entire extra bag of parts that allow you to build it as a left shoe instead of a right one, if you so desire. Buy two sets and you can make a complete pair!
In the r2d2 set it comes with 5 extra whips which its my brothers set but hes not the biggest lego fan so i built half of it and got all the extras so i was happy
I bought the lego set 75375 millennium falcon set and it was in special price at walmart but apparently it was already open and one of the pieces that is loose in the box, the instruction and bag 6 was stolen and not in the box
I've had 2 manufacturing errors like this. the first is a bad one but when i bought the 2016 ghost rider and spider man team up set, the set has 2 bags but nor eason at all it was bought at a lego retailer and sealed in box but it was missing half of the parts and all the minifigures. so we returned the set and got a new version thankfully with all the bricks. another time was with the lego mario's house set which for no reason came with an extra red 6x8.
My UCS Star Destroyers Box 3 had a second complete box 1 part set, but no box 3 parts. After an initially very confusing phone call to LEGO customer support, I had replacement box 3 parts on the way. Bonus… besides my offering, they did not want the duplicate b box 1 parts returned.
I have on 13 occasions gotten sets with missing bags, like 2 bags 7 and no bag 8. Never extra. I have contacted LEGO, and they have sent me bags, but I feel guilty, like they judge me as if I'm trying to get extra parts. 2 times I've gotten a set with a missing bag, and loose random studs and small pieces. These were purchased from stores, not resellers. They told me that it's measured by weight like you said, but I find it weird that someone saw that it was under weight and just added a fist full of random parts.
