Is it possible to buy the drone and spare batteries only? Reason I ask is that I had a mini pro 4 with RC2 controller and I lost the drone after one week. I just need the drone and some batteries, I am waiting for release of Air 3s.
@@AW-xj4un typically DJI does usually have “drone only” packages, but not sure on the compatibility with the RC2. Wait to see what they do with that before pulling the trigger.
It took a while for this to come out, but I'm glad I didn't get FOMO's into buying the Air 3. The prices do seem quite reasonable for what we're getting. I am excited about a larger sensor because that's the single most important factor. The larger the sensor, the more information you're capturing to begin with. Once you have the maximum amount of information, you can do more with it digitally. It's like the difference between an optical zoom and a digital zoom. All else being equal, an optical zoom is always better than a digital zoom. All else being equal, a larger sensor is always better than a smaller sensor.
Agreed -- I think a lot of folks learned their lesson with how the Mavic 3 to the Mavic 3 Pro rollout went. Unless the drone has the word "Pro" or the letter "S" after it, it's always wise to wait before you buy -- especially if you already have a functional drone.
Nothing confirmed, but I am hearing the batteries will be interchangeable just as they were in the Mavic Air 2 to the Air 2S. Same thing with the Mini 3 Pro to the Mini 3.
This is INCREDIBLY important for EVERYONE to read. If you need a new drone or if you want a new drone and have the extra cash, by all means. But if you’re like me and you have just enough money to make ends meet (and a little extra to sock away), do not feel like you MYST buy a new drone every time one is released. I know PLENTY of folks still using the Mavic 2 Pro and completely content with it and its performance.
Normally I'd perceive that comment as a bad thing...but considering we're getting the best of those older drones all combined, I'm just as stoked as you are!
Is it worth buying the Air3 or waiting for this Air3s to be released? I have never used or bought a drone and I’ve just bought a Air3 and wondering if I should send it back ? I mainly want the drone for travel purposes and shooting video content of scenery ? Any help would be greatly appreciated
We all say "Not Buying Another Drone" but you know how that goes ? Always another and another and another !!!!😂😂😂😂 I have 10 in my arsenal right now and not to talk about the others which are Junk !!!!😮
@@TheDroneGeek I am new to drones so not sure about iteration of launch. Wanted to get mini 4 pro thought I would wait for 5. So sure it won't launch till Nov 2025. Thanks for the info
A LOT of Air 3 owners will be upgrading to this beauty. Especially when you look at a larger as well as newer backlit sensor, better dynamic range, and better video resolution( 5.4K). The Air2s is still a solid drone 3 years later but the Air3S will have a better BACK LIT one inch sensor which is very attractive to me and will serve as a go to as well as solid travel drone.
Will be better than the 4/3 sensor on the mav 3. Im totally selling my mav 3 when this comes out. Skipped the air 3 as it’s basically a mini 4 but with an extra 70mm lens
@@alexrigi. not really because sensor size still matters unless the difference in dynamic range is so significant which in that case wait for the mavic 4

If the Air3 batteries work in the Air3S similar to what they did for the Air2 & Air2S, then I’m buying for sure! If not, I’m 50/50 on it

Don’t forget the new Lidar technology on the air 3s where the obstacle avoidance massively improves…
