Hello, Yes, this fits for OCR too. The OCR specification A states the following: 'To include the triplet, non-overlapping, degenerate and universal nature of the code and how a gene determines the sequence of amino acids in a polypeptide (the primary structure of a protein).'
@@MissEstruchBiology yaa Mam very and I m very happy one again thank u so much Actually mam this topic is my Msc.Project exam related so ........I m very happy concept is basically clear 😊
thanks, u will be a reason for couple of my marks in oct 2020 exam next month
Ah thank you, good luck!!!
Yes your videos are amazing I make notes from them .very helpful videos .Thanks
So glad they help you 😊😊
Hello,l am indian girl . But l really like your vedio. You are supar .
Hello 👋🏻
I'm so glad you liked the videos 😊
thank you so much! quite helpful! :)
You're so welcome 😁
What would happen if the stop codon had a mutation which caused a different amino acid to be coded and so did not stop synthesis of polypeptide
If asked to work out the DNA code, how would you work out what the original DNA was using the wheel?
The DNA code would be complementary to the mRNA codons, but T instead of U
Thank you!
love ur channel keep it up
Thank you!
Hello, i do ocr a for a level biology, would this video be fine for it?

8:07 what do you mean by "in almost every" why not every
most organisms but not all like a few types of bacteria
thanks queen
Hi, I do ocr. Do I need to know the amino acid names and what they code for? Love your videos btw
No you don't need to know the the of the 20 amino acids or which codon codes for them. 😊
hello,Mrs Estruch!Do you happen to know if learning those codes and amino acid namws for edexcel international spec?Thank you!
edexcel IAL what would be the advantages if we have an overlapping genetic code?
Hello,
There isn't one, which is why it is a non-overlapping code to reduce the number of amino acids potentially impacted if a gene mutation occurs.
hi, is this for all exam boards?
This is AQA specific, but comes up on all
Thanksss
you're welcome 😊
