I’ll never be able to visit this resort, so I appreciate the video. Love the indoor rock work and waterfall. Talk about a relaxing atmosphere 😊. The views from the balcony are wonderful. And it’s so quiet on the grounds. This place is fantastic 😊 PS I agree, it’s wonderful how Disney honours the military with this resort

It really is a wonderful resort with the most amazing people staying there, we met so many cool people and I was emotional all day because I didn’t realize how exceptional it was until I was there myself. Plus, I never remember my husband being so comfortable or happy on Disney property, we will definitely be staying there soon! 💜
Thanks Buck, I appreciate that because I was a little self conscious about how chatty I was but I was just so happy to be there and I guess it showed. I can’t wait for Chris and I to go back and especially to stay over so I can do a late night and/or predawn walk.
We were able to stay there in 2000. He was still in his 4yr inactive time (4 yrs active, 4 inactive).. We squeaked in the stay right before his discharge. Certainly has changed since then!

I worked at VA hospitals for a time, and turned a lot of servicemen and women on to this incredible place; the cost of a value resort and the comfort and amenities of a deluxe. Incredible place.

My husband Chris was in the Army and recently found out he’s good to go for Shades Of Green so we went to today and loved it, we will definitely be staying there soon and I hope to get some gorgeous late night and predawn videos there! What a great way to honor our brave armed forces, people take for granted Disney does this for our brave men of the Armed forces like your husband. Be proud of your husband, (any fan of Bourbon is good in my book) It's a harder time to be enlisted, because sadly much of the rest of the world has forgotten that idea of gratitude and respect.
I am very proud of my husband and I really appreciate you saying that, Mr. Hatter. Thank you. 💜 These families deserve all of our respect and it was awesome to see how Disney strives to show them that. Unfortunately I misunderstood Chris and it isn’t a bourbon room the new manager wants, it’s craft beer equipment so they can make their own… which is pretty cool too!

Yes, it is for military and disabled vets and I was emotional nearly all day between the resort itself, the things they have to offer and most especially the guests that stay there… it’s a wonderful vibe and my husband had never been so happy before on Disney property. It was a good day. 💜

If u make reservations at their restaurant, Mangino's, you can tell the front gate ur their for dinner and you don't have to be military. We got married at SOG in 2005 and have stayed there a dozen times, beautiful place.

My brother and I were literally just talking about this resort. He is going in January and said he could help us stay with him there. So needless to say my 2024 plans have all changed.
Gigi I literally just sent a text to my husband 5 minutes ago about how we need to go back to Shades Of Green because I miss it and he had a great time last time we were there. That is so awesome that you will get to stay there with your brother! I hope you have the best time ever and please thank him for his service for me. 💜
