After a year long wait, we were finally able to reserve a room at the Shades of Green Resort at Walt Disney World! A highly sought after resort exclusively for military and their families, DOD Civilians and Foreign Military? In this video we break down the Shades of Green eligibility details and take you through our experience with our room tour, the dining, transportation, amenities, and more! This might be the best value resort on WDW property but still has some amazing Disney perks and some exclusive perks including discounted tickets, which are tax free!
Is Shades of Green better than staying at an actual Disney resort? Let us know if you have experienced this resort and how it compares to the other WDW resorts to include good neighbor hotels. This was a different kind of resort for sure and definitely one we will be coming back to.

I know I’m late to the party, NOAA is eligible, but the third oldest branch and the only civilian branch, the United States Merchant Marine are not allowed. Yet we operate most NOAA and all USNS ships just saying..Not to mention the fact that all Merchant Marine Officers are in the US Maritime Reserves aka the Navy Reserves in time of war. So all the times I was tied up in Little Creek, with shipmates on other vessels we couldn’t go and shake their hand without an active navy escort. My friend just got home from Kuwait and i couldn’t say hi!

You could have charged your meal to room, also at the Evergreens restaurant
They will ask you for your room card and Id.😊

Personally, I was not impressed with the Spa.

We love the shades and you guys did a great job with your video! We just came back in March and my wife and I decided to book a couples session and personally I think I’ve had a better massage at the mall lol, but that’s my two cents. Keep the great content coming!
