@@mysocalledgenxlife No problem at all. I was born in 1975 and I love all of the behind the scenes stuff, the old commercials and the interviews. Well done!
I remember an interview someone did with Kathleen Kennedy about her approach to Star Wars where she said something to the effect of the originals being made in a time of innocence that she doesn't feel exists anymore. I knew the moment I read that that there was nothing she could do with Star Wars or Indiana Jones that would work anywhere nearly as well as the originals had. And I'm someone who, despite not liking Crystal Skull very much because of both the story and the awful SFX shots, didn't hate Shia LeBouf's character or acting, and loved the ending. Crystal Skull > Dial of Destiny. People can say what they want about Crystal Skull (I enjoyed it for what it was), at least Indy still felt like Indy and the ending when he takes his hat back from his son was gold. Also, I never had a problem with the idea of aliens being in the Indiana Jones universe. If you're going to have an ark that melts your face, or the fountain of youth, you might as well have aliens in there at that point. The filmmakers at least tried to make it fit within the universe. It's also not like there haven't been theories about aliens helping to build our civilization or being worshipped as gods. You could've easily called Crystal Skull "Indiana Jones and The Chariots of The Gods" (a little nod to Erich von Däniken's novel and claims). I also give the film leeway because I've always been interested in Von Daniken's claims, primarily since I first got into the Stargate franchise (which also dealt with a crystal skull in one episode).
I completely agree. If you get rid of the monkey scene, Crystal Skull is not bad. It had elements that were absolute gold. Ideally, they should have stopped at 3. But 4 was an acceptable post script.

Temple of Doom has the terrible Kate Capshaw playing an obnoxious character and the entire film is like an imitation of an Indiana Jones film by someone who really didn't understand what made Raiders great. The Raiders toy commercials are more interesting than any of the subsequent Indiana Jones films.
@mysocalledgenxlife Thanks for the presentation. Once again just as in the case of the "Star Wars" franchise to they sold away their rights to a company/studio which doesn't actually care for/the property - Disney sees it as a cach grab which they can bastardize any way they wish.
Hi. Thanks for your nasty comment. This is a channel for Gen X and the pop culture and news events from our childhood. It’s not about new things. This video told the story of the creation and destruction of a popular character through the people that lived it. No one forced you to watch the whole hour. But thank you for that. The watch time and comment really help.
This was a very good video until the ending. It's a shame you included clips of so many anti-fan trolls like Critical Stinker, Nerd Erotic and Mr. H. They really suck and are a blight on fandom. I also assume your title is ironic since Disney made the 3rd best Indiana Jones movie after Raiders and Last Crusade? Otherwise well done but you might want to re-edit it and take out the toxic a-holes.
I don't understand this format. I've seen all of these clips, why am I watching this? Why don't I just watch the archives and special features? I mean, here's a thought, if you're trying to say something, and it's a real simple one: words. I don't have the patience for this. Here's what I wanted to say, Dial of Destiny was fantastic, a perfect end to the series, and anyone who disagreed is either not a real Indy fan or spoiled by modern movies, and just didn't appreciate what they got. There, you know what I think, took you five seconds, and I'm out of your hair. See how easy that was?
It’s a collection of clips to tell a story. Maybe you don’t want to watch the three hour documentary for each movie? If you don’t like it, that’s fine. But you are the only negative comment I’ve gotten about it. So we will agree to disagree.
The film was a depressing slog that lacked the fun and energy of the previous films. I’ve been an Indy fan for over 30 years and would be happy to never see this film again.

Thanks for the presentation.
Once again just as in the case of the "Star Wars" franchise to they sold away their rights to a company/studio which doesn't actually care for/the property - Disney sees it as a cach grab which they can bastardize any way they wish.
Twar.
Sad.
Dial of Destiny was one of the most boring movies I've ever seen in theaters.
Absolutely pointless video. Nothing new. An hour of my life I want back.
What a total anus you must be
