@@maddiemelodysame. Recently I started pulling some pieces out that I don’t want in the dryer to air dry instead, but we have always mixed colors no issue. I don’t really get separating it unless it’s a very sensitive item, but then why put it in the washer? Idk
@bleepblop exactly. I'll air dry things too but I have never understood separating lights and darks. I think once we had some doll clothes that bled onto a doll (so was already a problem) find their way into the wash and it dyed an undershirt slightly but that's about it.
Thank you for mentioning to clean out the lint. People on my campus literally never empty the lint compartment. It’s not so bad because it’s summer and I am one a few people that are still here, but the some people just don’t know how to do laundry
Don’t wash on cold. Most laundry detergent such as tide don’t kill bacteria (Experiment done by style theory). Wash on hot as long as it doesn’t cost more and if that case do what you can afford.
Tbh separating your clothes into lights and darks isn’t really necessary, I just throw everything in (besides towels which go in a separate load) hang up any delicate items after washing and everything else goes in the dryer
To the people saying it's sad some people don't know this... I did my laundry since I was a kid too and I don't know how to use the laundry shop washing machines either. Because we always washed them by hand and when we got those cheaper really light load washing machines where you only use it for the soap part of the laundry. We do the rest by hand. In other words people's lives are different, food, chores and whatever it's quite close minded of you people to say those that don't know are all lazy people or their parents are not the best
it’s a surprise to me that people generally don’t know how to wash their clothes. just to clarify i’m not shaming them or anything, this just genuinely surprises me as i’ve learnt how to do this since i was a kid. makes me appreciate how much my dad has taught me about life.
Hey Gohar! Do you think you could give me feedback on my common ap essay? I've been watching you for a long time and it's time that I apply and I'm really stressed so it would be super helpful!
I would do the laundry differently - Use detergent pods instead, much for convenient and breaks downwn easier - Only do cold for delicates; I would recommend warm for most clothing to kill bacteria - You can seperate your clothes into lights and darks, but you don’t have to if you want it done faster - Idk what cycle your doing, but most will take at least an hour to wash (always do normal or heavy-duty if you have a lot of clothes) - I would also recommend adding oxi-clean and even some sort of softener as well if you care that much - And for drying, put at least 2 or 3 sheets in -Lastly, For delicates, always hang dry, as to avoid shrinking
You know, I do my laundry every time but I still find this helpful because I’m so scared that people are going to steal from me or attack me in college. I live out in the country and am never allowed to go anywhere right now (my mom thinks I’ll secretly date women so I have to stay home) so doing anything scares me. I’m scared people will steal my instruments, my clothes, my bathroom stuff while I take a shower, or anything in my backpack. I need to chill out tbh. I’m not even going to a bad university. It’s in a small town.

I heard that if you find the laundry key to your laundry machine, you can save hundreds of dollars. Just dont tell anyone because you might get in trouble
Unfortunately I didn't grow up with a washing machine or dryer so my entire life until like 13 was hand washing clothes and hanging them outside or near a radiator. From 14-17 I had a washing machine but still no dryer 😂
Sadly there's nothing like laundry room over here. So we have wash our clothes with our hands. And also do every house is US have a washing machine or smth. Heres a hack i learned from my brother: if you have a pasta strainer, then you can put all of you clothes in there, put detergent and water and mix until its clean :)
