Für den Rockpalast spielen Thundermother im längst stillgelegten Ausbesserungswerk in Duisburg Wedau. Wo früher Lokomotiven und Wagons repariert wurden, rollt heute der Rock´n Roll Zug. In der riesigen Halle riecht es immer noch nach Maschinenöl und man erahnt wie hier zu Hochzeiten ganze Güterzüge wieder instand gesetzt wurden. Jetzt wachsen an einigen Stellen Büsche und kleine Bäume.
Nachbarn gibt es keine und so können die vier Ladys aus Växjö ihre Verstärker aufdrehen und es richtig krachen lassen - und das macht mächtig Spaß und Lust auf mehr!
2009 gründet Filippa Nässil die Hard Rock Band Thundermother. Acht Jahre später drückt die Gitarrengöttin den Reset-Knopf und holt mit Guernica Mancini eine neue Sängerin in die Band, das Schlagzeug wird mit Emlee Johansson neu besetzt und seitdem spielt Majsan Lindberg den Bass.
Die Umbesetzung hat sich gelohnt. Im gleichen Jahr spielen Thundermother erstmals beim Wacken Open Air und die internationale Fangemeinde wächst. In ihrer schwedischen Heimat gehören Thundermother zum Rock´n Roll Inventar. Vier Alben und Tourneen quer durch Europa zeigen, wohin die Karrierereise gehen soll.

The guitar player royally screwed up by firing the singer, because that caused the rhythm section to immediately quit. Those gals are putting their own band together, and hopefully we'll be hearing new music from them relatively soon, especially because the singer has a killer voice! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
