HUGELY underrated vocalist. The fact he’s managed to keep his voice in such good condition is amazing. I’m glad Anthrax brought him back into the band because it gave Joey the chance prove he wasn’t John Bush’s bootlick. I love Bush’s voice and the albums he made with the band but you’ll never convince me he was any better than Joey.

These guys are almost 60 and still killing it like in their 20's.... For me, this is the only thrash metal band that I will surely miss once they retire.
I always liked Anthrax with Belladonna. I think they have a very unique sound and their albums were the best in their discography.

I honestly didn't believe that they would still be able to play so perfectly and with such power today. Time does not seem to have passed for them, unbelievable! Belladonna is also in great shape! Very great!

One of the greatest bands of all time. Joey still singing strong. Charlie one of the best ever. Scott still hammering those bad ass rhythms as only he can do. Solid all around and a great live act. They deserve all the success. No offense to the other singer but Joey coming back made all the difference in the writing and music. Anthrax and megadeth forever!.

Saw them a few years ago and I was making my way to the mosh on the side at an outdoor concert. They were playing "Indians" and he started screaming at me. I didn't know why. But it turns out he's a big Raiders fan and I was wearing a jersey. Super awesome 👍

Truly the best concert I have ever been at. The 5 ORIGINAL members were all together for a tour, even (Dan Spitz) played and Joey was singing like he never left. A local MN band started the show, then God forbid was the opening act. Anthrax sounded great that night at 1st Ave in Minneapolis. Very cool!!!!!

Scott is the only member who's really aged, and he's still managed to pull it off. Anthrax is probably gonna be around for a while, thankfully.
Scott's playing has not aged, matter of fact he's a more diverse player today and can play anything from the old albums.

Like when I saw Iron Maiden this past summer...these guys are just killing it onstage even at their age. An example to all the newbie bands or even the ones that have gained popularity in the last 10 years: THIS is how you put on a show and entertain people. Still going strong after all these years.

I’ve seen Anthrax several times over the years. Their shows aren’t concerts-they are an all-out assault on your senses.
If you get a chance to see them live,please do. They are as every bit as good as they are in this video.
Hopefully you'll catch them after this COVID shit is done. I've seen them many times, met them a couple times too, both with John Bush and with Joey. Definitely go when you can next time.
Saw Among the Living tour. Kick ass. Saw all the thrash gods at that time. Megadeth and Slayer uncountable times. Overkill was somehow the opening band for everyone at the time in Los Angels, Ca. and gotta say they were always a headliner they just played first. Actually at the Among the Living was in Santa Monica and and you you'd just see like Mike Muir of Suicidal Tendencies walking by with his crew and shit. That was a particularly crazy show as it was close to the 4th of July if not the 4th and people had fireworks and shit in there. Like M80's and bottle rockets. They stopped the show for a good 5 minutes. They all walked off stage. Then Frank Bello came out and laid the hammer down.

Always takes Joey a song or two to get warmed up, but by the time Madhouse comes in he starts to sound pretty damn good. Dude is a bad ass. Great energy and performance.

I think out of all the big thrash metal bands, Anthrax is definitely the best. Metallica has some of the most iconic and influential metal songs, Megadeth has some extremely technical and interesting riffs, Slayer has speed that no one can match, but Anthrax just has so much energy and pure joy for what they do. I think they're definitely what any thrash band should aim to be. Energetic and fun.

I grew up with Anthrax, I'm 54. I've seen them many times and have lost touch with for whatever reason. Recently I've been watching a lot of UTube bands and their gear and found many shows with Anthrax. I've gotten that feeling back again and yes I'm 54. The metal in us doesn't die, sometimes it goes dormant. These guys have not lost their touch and I could appreciate the energy. Good to have Joey back and what can I say about the rest of the band?! Scott is a fucking freak, Charlie is solid and Frank is a monster. The other guy I can't get into, although his solos are solid, he just doesn't fit for me, I miss Dave. Great show, I was impressed.
The soul of Anthrax’s music is NYC hardcore. That’s why I always liked them better than the other thrash bands.

@@TheBoinger5150 John couldn't hit the notes like Joey can, and that's not saying that John didn't have a good voice, but to compare the 2 of them is like comparing James Hetfield to Bruce Dickinson. They are 2 different styles! Another thing is they are 2 different eras of Anthrax, the music changed to fit the vocals.

Was one of the first major bands…metal and or otherwise…that blew my mind and motivated and indeed inspired me..,still does and always will.
