I've had the Diamond Body 36 coating on my daily driver for just over a year now. It was super simple to apply, looks great and has been performing great with zero toppers. I've done a couple low pH treatments and use an alkaline pre-wash quite often. Not because I've had to in order to keep it performing, but mainly just because it's been exposed to a lot of environmental factors, road construction, etc and I just haven't had the time to keep up with it as regularly as I would like sometimes. I also have been using their wheel coating and glass coating since they came out and have also been pretty happy with them. The one tip I would give you is to make sure you use the prep spray they give you in the kit. Since these are composite coatings (not traditional ceramic) they really need the prep products that were designed for them. They actually act as a primer as the prep products also have nano diamonds in them. I'm excited to try the new maintenance products when they come out. I've not had any issues with anything I've used on them, including KCx Reactivation Shampoo...which Jamie the Cleaner said killed his DB36 coating. I'm not sure what he had going on in his situation, but I've had no such issues here. It will be nice to have dedicated maintenance products to turn to though.
I also used kcx's reactive shampoo as well as alkaline pre-rinses on my diamond body 36 and I have had zero issues. I've also applied diamond glass which has been great for my daily commute on highway 1.
I have diamond body 36 on my car and on my wife's car. They clean up beautifully. Even when they're dirty they look shiny from 5 to 10 ft away. Our cars are outside 24/7 so I don't know that the coating will last the full 3 years, but I don't care. I will say that I haven't noticed anything unique about this coating compared to other quality coatings. I am not doing extensive testing however this is just my experience as a consumer washing my car every 1 to 2 months. I would love to hear from you about the chemistry behind some of those coatings that had two or three layers. Certainly that many layers can be a turn off for some detailers given the trend right now is one or two layers ar the most. Also, what properties does diamond pro tech have that sets it apart from other coatings such as quartz or ceramic or other diamond coatings on the market?
Ive had pro60 on my truck all year and really like it. I live in wisconsin and we get tons of salt and its held up good. This coating revives like a champ. Ive used labocosmetica products to revive the coating and brings it back to new
Awesome! I have the interior kit from Diamond ProTech. I cant wait to try it.
