This is the same esc and motor i bought for my Driftart chassis. Except I got the 7500kv gold motor and the esc without the aluminum case for weight savings
For buggy, especially if you will do a lot of jumps a sensored isn't the best choice due to extra wire and more points of failure. GL Racing V1.2 will be great. If you want bluetooth config then Furitek has the Momentum which is the sensorless of Cyclos. Still, not recommended to have the bluetooth module connected if you'll do jumps though. It might get dislodged or dislocated.
A standard 25C is already good. Basically any 2S that fits the chassis will do fine. Some recommendations are Marka Racing, Gaoneng or GNB, Giant Power and Turnigy Nanotech.
It's still one of the best sensorless setup to date. The V1 I use is not available anymore, they have upgraded it to V3. It's essentially the same but with detachable plug. And yes, even now I'd still upgrade WLtoys with Surpass Rocket V2 motor and DasMikro V3 ESC.
@@BeaversHobby upon your recommendations I bought the drift art 3s Hopefully I can find the right body for it, I'd like it being plastic since you said my metal bodies would require heavier springs
@@BeaversHobby would you consider doing a review of the dumborc DDF-350? Incredible possibilities and some better than average internal gyro to try out 😄
@@salutbonjour123 Thanks for the suggestion. It looks really good and also at a great price point too. Seems like Banggood also has it. I'll try and get it from there. No promises though.
It's a micro receiver for Flysky NB4, I think this one is from Dasmikro. Anyway, just buy the original GMR receiver from Flysky and you'll have much better time using it regarding the updates. To use something like this with Mini-Z you will have to covert the car to standard electronics. By which I mean rip out the original board, install a servo board to convert 5 wire to 3 wire. You can get the servo board by salvaging it from a 5-9g servo. Or but a board from Furitek or PN Racing. Then the ESC, the same as in this video will work. And finally a transmitter & receiver. I can't remember which one do you use but if you have the Flysky NB4 like I do, get the Flysky GMR receiver.
@@david9778 Unfortunately, no. That remote doesn't have a separated receiver. Even if it did, the remote doesn't have basic functions like reverse steering and reverse throttle required to make it work with other cars.
@@david9778 No, it won't work with the receiver I use in this video. But don't worry with every purchase of a remote control/transmitter, it will come with a receiver already (except when you buy some different packages that won't come with a receiver, there are a few and not very standard). FS-GT2E is alright. It will come with a receiver so you can use that one in the package. If you could, I would suggest you get a different transmitter like DumboRC X4, X6 or something similar. It will come with a receiver that's smaller than Flysky, the transmitter is way better, the signal is also stronger and faster. The plug will be standard JR/Futaba plug but you will have to modify that regardless of whichever one you buy. Only a few will have receiver with JST-ZH or the small white plug 1/28 kit cars usually use. The cheapest in the market right now is Flysky G7P. It is a very good transmitter so if you can stretch your budget to that, it will be great. Just buy a good one once and use it for years to come.
Hello, please help. i have the XRX DPA, and having trouble binding the transmitter (Radiolink - RC4GS v2) to the mini receiver it comes with the car (MXO-Racing, RXC42-D). how do i bind the two?
I'm sorry to tell you that RC4GS will not work with MXO-Racing RXC42-D receiver. You will have to use the receiver that came with the RC4GS. Don't worry about the plug. It's the same wiring order & colour.
@@WTDUSH Use the gyro from the one that came with chassis. Don't forget to turn off the RC4GS onboard gyro too. I think it's 3 clicks on the receiver. Check the manual again for confirmation.

Good review. Please create review hobbyving Ezrun 28 and rocket-RC motor
I'm trying to get them right now. Rocket sensored is coming but don't know about the EZrun yet.
Great video, I just ordered this combo. I am wondering what battery you recommend and what c rating is required? Thank you!

How does the das micro hold up and which would you choose for the mini wltoys buggy to upgrade it?

Quick question: I have a wltoys k989 with a metal pinion gear that’s attached to the stock motor. How do I remove it? I can’t brute force it off
You'll need a gear puller like this www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002818277034.html .
