This Is The Cheapest & Easiest Mod For Your BMW X5! | F15 DIY

In this video we address a common problem. Newer cars with electronic parking brakes tend to have their switches fail over time. I show you a quick and easy mod to dress up the interior along with prevent any further damage.

Nice. I would suggest to anyone using these chrome buttons from aliexpress/ebay etc. if you think you'll permanently have it; to scrape off the black paint/layer from the original button.
This should give you better illumination through the chrome one.

Never seen something like this in any BMW with those switches. It must be the sun or something to do with the climate, since here in finland i haven't seen a single BMW with this issue. Also we are on our third BMW with electric parking brake and a switch like this. They are being used so much, since we use BMW as a taxi and i use the parking brake every time before i put the transmission to park. Even on flat surfaces (not in traffic lights though).
Then again, all of our BMW:s are built in germany for the european market.

Not bad. In my E70 did not break there it broke at the base and whole switch came up but somehow I was still able to use it.

Do you know of a way to remove the center armrests on a 2016? I've looked and look and can't find anything. I want to wrap the 2 aluminum trim to the sides of the console and they won't come out unless I remove the center armrests.

Thanks! I was actually thinking of that but the adhesive they supply is pretty strong so I figured it would sit more evenly without the glue and was worried it might interfere with the light shining through.
