Great info! I today bought a 2014. I love the ambient light setting choices. I only wish there were an option to turn off the ring around the radio. No real complaints. Just toggling the switches and learning. 🥰

@@betsybrains you just go to central display and uncheck the tick box at the top. I found this out because I was turning it on and off in a vehicle I was looking at
Had a 2014 mini before with the Ambient lights. Got a 2015 version now, similar to in the vid... Anyone know how to get the small ambient light strip around the roof control panel to light up? It did in the 2014 and looks like there is a strip there, but can't figure it out
I have the nav pack in my 2020 one, but I can only figure out how to change the lights under the console and in the doors, not the ring light around the screen. My menu is also completely different to yours with no settings bar like that 🥴

when i have my lights on certain colours, there’ll be a section of it that’s different to the colour i selected. for example, i’d have it on orange and a bit of it would be green? anyone know how to fix it
Do you know if you have the MINI Excitement package? It was an add on feature, $250 and it includes: Adjustable mood lighting is a signature MINI touch. With a host of colors and settings, this lighting accents the doors, footwell and center stack to set the perfect motoring mood. If you don't have the toggle to the right of the where the sunroof switch is, you may not have that feature. I think that should be standard but some people may not want it so I guess that is why it's an option. I believe it used to be standard but changed to an option at some point. I know on my 2018, it was an option

It must have been an option, I had it on my old 2009 mini it was part of the pepper pack back then and I really enjoyed the feature, ... But bought a high speck Cooper this week and assumed it would be on it.... Loving my new car though... Love love love her
Ambient lighting not working ??? it turns off after half an hour of continuous use in the 2019 mini 3-door. I already moved the settings, display and it does not turn on again. I have to turn off the car and wait a few minutes for it to start again.

Love the LED centre ring but having had the car for ONE day, the central ring has switched off. Other LEDs fine 🤷♀️

you press the color change botton and leave it pressed like 30 seconds until it stars looping the colors..

Is it, perhaps, when the car is operating in economy(green) mode? Some minis are programmable for this feature. Just wondering.

Sadly not. It was only introduced to the Countryman when the new model was released last year.
MJA plc I just got mine and luckily even tho it doesn’t have it on the front it does have the lighting options for other sections of the car :)

It is an option but maybe you could still have it fitted.

It would be well worth calling your supplying MINI dealership, it's probably something really simple.
