Is the trail to the lake pretty easy to follow? I have read different opinions. Your video is awesome! I am now more anxiously awaiting my vacation there in 2 weeks! Thank you✌
Trail isn’t too difficult to follow, but be warned this video skipped the super difficult scree section that I wouldn’t recommend unless you are an experienced hiker! Difficult and at least mildly dangerous
So jealous that you’re going there soon! And thank you! I would say the trail is very easy to follow- I recommend using AllTrails just for assurance. Like Lindsay mentioned, there is one part of the trail (around the waterfall in the video) that is extremely steep and the ground is all loose dirt/rocks. You definitely want two hands available for this part and it’s likely you may get a little dirty here while scrambling. Be careful!! I’d also highly recommend starting before sunrise like we did so you can potentially experience the lake by yourself. The first 75% of the path is well traveled and easy to follow in the morning light. Enjoy!!
@@TheDestinationDudes , thank you so much for the input! Looks as though the Sawtooths resemble my Washington state Alpine Wilderness area. I am going prepared!
Yes! We weren’t ready for that last mile. Probably should’ve had a more substantial breakfast to help power through lol. We can’t wait to get back up there, though!
Wow! Just found your channel - I just moved to eastern Idaho last fall and am originally from FL so I totally vibe with the freezing weather here haha. I'm going to put this hike on my to-do list; it looks amazing! Keep up these awesome videos!
I also have a video up on here for our trip to Goat Lake - Fall of 2019! I was searching around to see if mine would pop up, and stumbled upon your video. Great job! Love the smooth footage. Goat Lake was our favorite spot that we tackled when we were in the Sawtooths.
Thanks for the compliments! Funny story - Back when we were searching which hike to do while in the Sawtooths, we came across your Goat Lake video and it was actually the deciding factor on what we decided to do. So, thanks for making the trek first- no way we were jumping in, though! Haha
@@TheDestinationDudes Aha hey right on there! Glad it helped in making the final decision on where you guys went. It’s pretty awesome to hear and it’s fun seeing others who have gone to the same places. Cheers to 2021!
Goat lake looks amazing! We did Sawtooth Lake and it’s worth a trip as well. We will have to do this hike for sure. Great job, we love seeing other people’s content. New Sub from us!

My Husband and I were there in June! Great experience and vacation!
Such an amazing place! Your pictures from your guys' trip were great!
Have hiked goat lake twice and both times the last mile kicked my butt. Worth every step though! Sawtooths are amazing

Did you get the milkshake? 🙄
Actually, yes 😂 The next day in Boise. It wasn’t the most satisfying shake, but I felt like I earned it after that hike. Thank you for watching! 🙌🏻
