I quit buying COD games after Black Ops 3. When Warzone came out for free, a couple friends convinced me to download it, but when I tried to set my clan tag to 1776, it said it wasn't allowed due to hateful or offensive content. What a joke.
Man, I tried to put 'EIRE' in my clan tag and it told me it wasn't allowed due to being hateful or offensive content. EIRE literally means Ireland in Gaelic.
He hit the nail on the head. I don't like using meta weapons. I just like to mess about and have fun. I cant thanks to SBMM. I get completely shat on most times because of it. One of the times im getting stomped I get annoyed and just started picking up the weapons my fallen allies were using and started to sweat. I ended up having a good game, but I did not enjoy the match in the slightest. If I wanted to sweat, I would play ranked!
100% and we have all these guns to level up to unlock attachments, challenges each week to unlock new JAK kits and shit but majority of the time you just get shit on until you pick up someones MCW or something. I don't usually rage but trying to do challenges had me needing to take a breather after some matches as i came late to last season and wanted to unlock all the weekly kits.
Same thing. I rly hate meta. Back in og cod games if you skillfull enough you can basically play with whatever gun, even trash. Now if you want to have decent k/d you'll have to play meta.
Doesn't Activision have leaked documents explaining that if you buy gun skins it will put you in easier games to help advertisers to other plays that the gun is better and to make the player feel like it was a smart purchase? I remember seeing that around 2019 2020.
I’ve always thought that the pay to win guys always got more kills just because of the dlc guns they bought from store system 😂 I always hated when they put new guns that destroyed all other guys using regular guns lol
They need to concentrate more on getting rid of cheaters, if I’m getting consistently shot within a split second of running round a corner before I can even raise my gun that’s when I drop out of a game
It is on rank I seen on hard point where we have spawn on then some how they will spawn behind us nd their points go up faster than ours when they have hard point and lord have mercy when your solo you win one and lose one keeping you at the same place
@@evilkittens9 No, you’re thinking of SBMM. EOMM uses skill as a factor to rig matches in order to optimize engagement. Ranked is actually the last place EOMM should be because it’s supposed to have the integrity not to rig matches.
EOMM is in Ranked. That’s why you have bronze players somehow playing in the same matches as platinum players. It’s supposed to match you with players of similar skill but you’ll often get matches in which one team is hopelessly outmatched while the other team gets a free W. EOMM is also the reason why ranks often aren’t reflective of actual skill level. Me and my clan of golds and one platinum have been matched with silvers and get handed an overwhelming L while other matches we’ve handed teams of platinums an overwhelming L. Players often get hard locked on a rank that doesn’t reflect their skill because the matchmaking keeps handing them L’s whenever they win too much. Evidence: th-cam.com/video/fxgvKBwciSQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=3onPnUWBD7hzTmL8
I'm in the average/below average category. People in this category that like SBMM do so out of ignorance. Engagement based matchmaking does NOT make people like me win more often. It's designed to use people like me as fodder for better players, but throw me a bone once in a blue moon so I don't quit. When I play Warzone I live in a constant state of being on the edge of quitting for ever, but I never do. THAT is what it's designed for.
I am cannon fodder for people in this game, I get the sweatiest lobbies, I never get the advantage in the gunfight. Aim always manipulated. no aim assist. I make this comment to see if anyone else has the same experience.. I know this is the case because first game on every session i can get high kills. then game after game is a shit show. full of cheaters, my gun jams all the time when fighting lower skilled players giving them chance to win the fight. I seen there is literally a patent to manipulate aim mid gunfight. I think it is definetly a thing. Drop a like if I am not crazy
People don't want it in the game, then stop buying skins, and stop playing it, once it's not profitable they'll move on to something else, but as long as it's profitable it will never be removed.
People you need to open your eyes to Call Of Duty. EOMM matchmaking you do not play the game the game plays you. It manipulates the results to keep you playing the game to keep you addicted. It messes with health, damage accuracy and even movement. Streamers who advertise the game and who are white listed have a huge advantage. Example- easier lobbies, better accuracy, faster time to kill and so on. This is why on LAN they never perform as good but they always use the excuse well it’s the best players in the world. Well if that is the case why is it that matchmaking puts you in BOT lobbies online and not DEMON lobbies if you are that good? Why are they not matched by skill? (SBMM) it is because EOMM controls the game and benefits streamers massively. People who spend heavy in the store on skins and blue prints etc… COD will recognise this and add advantage for these players also to keep them happy and keep them spending. This is not a game of skill it’s a fixed game a money making pit and don’t even get me started on the cheating problem in this game with aimbot, walls, and manipulating the system to get in to BOT lobbies. Why don’t these so called GOD players setup a camera behind them showing there screens? It is easily done and easy for them to prove but they will never do this. A clear example would be online betting. It is designed to take your money but every now and then it will give you some back and give you hope and it will create that addiction to make sure you keep on playing.
The reoccurring pattern I've watched is generally one team being completely stacked and overbearing on the other. It's been all too common in both MW19 and 22 that I'm either alone in actually putting up a fight (which was 90% or my MW22 matches), or I'm watching the other team put up so little fight, it's hardly even a match... Very rarely are matches truly fair... and those are THE MOST FUN lobbies I've ever had... but they make up like 5% of my total experience in either game. *edit, a third is one or two guys on one team that are just so beyond everyone else's level... you question how on earth that was even possible.
Hope your channel blows up soon. The fact alone that you can be bothered to voice it yourself, rather than using text-to-speech software makes it better than most but also you're eloquent and make interesting points. Good luck!
Majority of games are rigged and have some sort of ai intervention when playing, just like fifa games. Creators cater to all gamers these days so they need to make ot fair for all the players, even the bad ones. Which makes it unfair for the more experienced ones. Like in fifa where bad players get a boost or bad commention players get a boost because they need to somehow compete. Its just not fun anymore, people play just for the sake of it. All money schemes. Gaming is not it these days
sbmm started in gears of war multiplayer and the devs of gears at the time literally said if you win too much they put you against better players and they make it to where not all of your bullets work when they hit so you both win and lose so its not boring...
Old cods do not have sbmm or EOMM in normal MP. Just rank mode. And it was simpler that what we have now. I read on reddit. Some moders never found any line of code that subjected SBMM was implemented on any old cod.
I think they have it all wrong. As a medium too low skill player, at-least back in the day in mw2/ b01 days I would get lucky and play against noobs and be able to get those big killstreaks and do good. However with strict sbmm I never ever have had a reasonable chance of getting a goood kill streak even after hundreds of games. It’s worse for noobs imo as soon as you go positive next match you go negative
the term "engagement" doesn't refer to "gametime" but rather "game retention". Think psychology of "ludopathy". It's about how much time the game ratains a given player before he gets too frustated. "Engagement" is an active process of studying your frustation and it works diferent for each player. Same algorithm with as many diferent outcomes as active players are. The goal is to keep you "engaged" for the most amount of time posible before you quit. Other forms of engagement are "expend money", "grind", open rewards" and/or boxes, "customize" the game experience, modify your setup, etc etc. Maybe the final acronym should be "Retention Optimized Match Making"... js.
Finally someone talking about that! The system is way more complex that "helping the noob player and disadvantage the skilled player"..I'm a top 1% player and I can say that I'm addicted to the game, I don't mean that I love the game, I'm literally addicted. I've discovered that if I don't play for a week I stop missing my "daily dose" and I don't feel like playing for a long time. I can clearly see that my gameplay is manipulated to alternate fun and frustration. I think that a system that intentionally cause addiction to a videogame should be illegal and they should be sued for not declaring it.
@@Im_L30 ok wow this needs to be talked about more. The weaponized SBMM is strictly made for people to spend money, time, to keep coming back even tho you dont get the fun. Thats actually CRAZY.
My friends played xdefiant and said it’s trash and that cod is better (I’m pretty decent and love the game.) They hate it bc sbmm holds the hand of ppl who are below average.
Hi. I developed many matchmaking systems over the past however many years. Engagement based matchmaking only works when the playerbase you're meant to be keeping engaged is unaware of it and how it works. As soon as the playerbase becomes well-informed and realize that their triumphs and their failures are manufactured by a system, the subsequent disenchantment with the game is almost guaranteed.
Hey man. Yeah I've seen this said quite alot. I'm not suprised, I think the playerbase is becoming habituated and frustrated with the matchmaking now. As more and more people become aware of it, I can't imagine it will continue to work as intended.
what’s wild about this. is i have the same exact input. i couldn’t think of the way to explain how the game is so boring for me now and it makes sense. being a slightly above average player i feel like im losing my mind and can’t play more than a few games . but just installed xdefiant and played for hours not even realizing cuz the difference in skill and i felt like i was actually being rewarded with being good rather than punished
I hate the bad server connections more...I play cod just a few hours a week, and just sometimes sbmm feels unbalanced. One game feels like playing against bots, the next game playing against faze clan....my internet connection is very good (1000Mb/1000Mb), and when I play a few hours after work, I don't want 2-3 hours with packet bursts, high ping, disconnections. This was not a huge problem in the older cods.
As someone who sucks at COD, I hate SBMM. Every win/kill streak feels given and not earned. I then feel punished for doing good. I would rather play against sweats that have better ping that I can build skill against.
Ill be honest bro- i dont mind sbmm but when the game constantly throws me in with teammates that are fucking incapable of doing shit EVERY DAMN MATCH no matter what gamemode i play. Its starts to get real fucking old and unbearable. Its like you cant escape it. Its so noticeable that i completely just gave up after 2019. I love competition but when its unbalanced and against me like a lottery. I wont bother. Im not carrying against wanna be pro/am players when i got fucking no thumb timmies.
That's what got me to quit MW22... I still did well for a vast majority of the matches... but my teammates couldn't be bothered to show up... ever... AND THE ENEMIES WERE FRIKKIN EASY TO KILL!!!!
What gets me is the player nerfing not even sbmm. I cant stand getting punished for doing good then next game my gun starts shooting bb's and takes 7-9 shots to get a kill.
When I first started playing COD in 2007 I was shit and got smashed every game, But guess what over time I got better and better and became the smasher. Current COD I refuse to play any team based games solo due to the matchmaking always shafting me and putting me on a team where they clearly are not my skill level and it's a guaranteed loss. But I can play free for all and get 1st, 2nd or 3rd every game, That tells me the team based matchmaking is atrocious, never had this problem years ago
Yes it's true and I will even tell you that I saw levels 800, 900 in COD Cold war it was quite crazy lol they are cheaters or robot programmers. Call of duty MW2 and MW3 games are rigged
I’ll be honest I definitely noticed it back in the day but it was no near as bad as it is today. I remember one time my cousin was playing black ops 1 on my account and he legit said bro why on your account I run into nothing but ghost pro and golden famas players. I said bro it’s the same on your account especially once you hit level 50. Mind you I never prestiged out of pure laziness. Then I hopped on his account and the difference was night and day granted I had a 1.9 he might’ve had a 1 or just over. But when it hit hard for me was Black ops 2 that game in its prime had crazy eomm or sbmm. When I first got it had decent lobbies but after a while the game was putting me in straight sweat lobbies not to mention the game had bad hit detection to begin with. I ended up going back and playing MW3 and 2 instead which had it too but not as bad.
interesting. Yeah I only started to notice it in MW2019. But I saw some people on reddit say they noticed it starting in AW. Who really knows when it began? It's the worse it's ever been now.
@@eireEoin I definitely remember people talking about it in AW days but tbh I didn’t play much of AW. I even remember Ali A shitting all over Black ops 2 when it came out but he has clearly since deleted it and this was before they started flying TH-camrs out. All I know now is I have little to no desire in playing cod anymore it kind of feels like finding out the tooth fairy and Santa isn’t real. Once you figure out it’s all kind of artificial and not really YOU having fun it kind of feels like what’s the point.
I'm surprised you're not getting dog dog for talking even slightly negative about Call of duty's Golden child. Whenever I would say the same thing about it it's a detection in any other comment section talking about Black ops 2 we're praising Black ops 2, I would always get dogs on for just being bad at the game. The game had a lot of great qualities and of course there's a reason people have a lot of nostalgia for you, but my God the amount of people that ride this game's dick is ridiculous.
I didn't finish the video yet but I think TEAM BALANCING is what casual games need, this makes the teams balanced and then its up to the players who will come out on top. I plan to figure out proper systems for an FPS game that me and my team will start making later this year. Probably just team balancing as an option and ranked/competitive with some kind of match making, each prioritizing ping. Its not rocket science really.
I remember back then lobbies were split based on level. For example, if they’re 4 lvl 850’players in lobby, they would be split between each team, etc. The matches felt more organic and even. If they were in a group, then the lowest lvl players would be on their team.
I feel like the big picture is that no one should support this system. Lesser skilled players and high skilled players should not be okay with the game essentially filling out an entire digital profile based on you and cater towards what you enjoy/bring you down to bring you into normalcy. Not to mention this system is used in non ranked game modes. What I kinda compare this to is fighting games. Ranked in a fighting game is to give players an option to find equal skilled players. But casual is there to find a variation. You could find better players and get stomped, or find players worse than you and stomp them, with that equal chance to find someone just as good as you. If you spend all your time in ranked, you actually won't learn anything. You'll never see real improvement, you'll never learn your own weaknesses and you'll never find new and creative strategies. If you agree with this notion, then you shouldn't support the rigged systems in COD.
This was a great video very well done I appreciate the work that you put in. As an OG player I agree with all of your points. Here's something that I noticed back in infinite warfare and Black ops 3 the game was asking us if we enjoyed the experience or not.. they only cared during those two years and never again and never before. What I suggest what's happening is that we were training their algorithm for how much losing we can tolerate... It's further proof of how they decide how much you lose..
Call of Duty lost its touch after ghost. Ghost wasn’t the greatest game esp w it’s ttk, but out of all old cods before advanced moment and the like, Ghost had the most best creative class loadout (it was MW3…but better…) and although no zombies, Extinction paved the way for how zombies reflects todays gameplay-wave-based, not round-based.
@@evilkittens9 most creative guns especially, just sucks the story was..eh, and multiplayer was subpar :/ but as a BO2 fanboy, I did enjoy what ghost brought to the table, just wish everyone didn’t die so fast. I would go into pv bot and changed the health to 150 so it did feel like a normal cod game
Player engagement is their top priority and nothing they say can convince me otherwise. The longer they can keep you on the game, the higher the chance of you buying something in the in-game store. EOMM is making them money hand over fist. They could release the next CoD for free and still make more money than classic MW2 when it broke records on release. XDefiant brought back the fun of unpredictable matches. And I know ping is prioritized because I've ran into a handful of the same players with mixed skill levels lol
I gotta agree with everything stated in this video. Been playing CoD in my early days but I can’t continue getting manipulated by the algorithm all the time. Apex has the same exacerbated issue. I switched to XDefiant and even though the game has issues I don’t see myself playing any other FPS with EOMM/SBMM or whatever trickery they’re using.
There are very many data beeing logged to deterimine ur punnishment, ehhm i mean skill factor. If you take me as an example: 95% of my games during the entire warzone 1 i was playing dual sniper. That ends up with a unnatural headshot% and time to kill enemies. It actually ended up for me that the game started to curve bullet path to hit right hip instead of head. Resulting in a white hitmarker. The remaining games i played ballistic knife + crossbow, and Even though crossbow with exsplosive bolt would 1 tap nomatter where u hit, it stopped doing that Even for chestshots and head/neck shots. And ballistic knife was designed to kill/down when fired into head/neck, but people survived it and ran around with my ballistic blades pierced true their skulls. I also liked riot shield + ballistic knife, and that shield turned into paper. The common factor for those loadouts is also that people rage when getting killed by it. They are not impressed when i shot my ballistic knife into their head from 107m, instead they rage… i believe this is also a factor. In warzone 2 i had 8,5kd in ressurgence with the crossbow, Even thought it sucks… So i decided to become Even better with it and trained in priv match vs ai bots. The result was that 70% of my arrows would deal 0dmg/ zero hitmarkers. I tested by perfectly align headshot vs dummies in firing range and 7 out of 10 arrows did nothing… i have it on video as well ofc. I started playing sniper + knife late in warzone 2, and still use the same now in warzone 3. Which is now extreamly dependant on me landing my throwing knives in enemy faces. But if there is a long while(only 3 days..) since i bought battlepass 70% of then will bend up to 90 degrea in travel path to avoid hitting enemies. But if i buy battle pass or bundle in allowed to run around in warzone and land like 90% headshots with both crossbow, throwing knifes and snipers, and then 3 days later im allowed to land 2% headshots… and when i slow down the clip its everything from anti aim assist pushing aim off, lowered damage, adjusted travel path and plain missing hitmarkers. Microtransactions history matters more than stats and playtime. Its so rigged its unplayable.
The only thing i dont like about it is that there are 500,000 people online, but you will only meet the 20 players in your skill bracket... i wanna talk 2 china japan south America usa Africa...
I actually left cod, the chances of me winning is lower than .1 after losing games for 3 months, ghost bullets, high ping, which my highest was 3444ms. I was so done with call of duty, i switched games. Im a skilled player but they rig my bullets and rig everything. My bullets go through people and i start laggin everytime i engage into a fight and so does my friend, we been losing for 3 months and never was able to even win one game. We switched to apex, knowing that me n my friend never played it and we are getting destroyed by other players but we are having fun on apex. We dont care, we were actually winning sometimes. And theres no lag and no pay to wins. Which i love. No pay to wins, no lag, no ghost bullets etc. Cod really went down. Everything they add is something to buy. Cod is now bad i just cant enjoy it anymore. Its not fun.
By the way, ranked isnt good eitger due to hidden mmr. Im getting iridescent and top 250 on plat which was so annoying. Some hater that will reply will say "just get better," you cant get better if you cant even get one shot onto them bc they know more. Its not fun. This game fell off, and i hope it does falls off. And the spawning is rigged but yeah. I just dont find this game fun anymore tbh. Nothing is good. Oay to wins are annoying. But its whatever
Halo 3 had it right for the ranked status. They had the insignia rank and a numbered rank. The numbered rank is your skill, your insignia is your exp played.
I originally bought MW 2023 on sale to have fun with friends, stayed for a bit to unlock weapons/camos since it gave me something to do. Only bought the 1 Season Pass and a "Holger" skin....... don't really intend on getting another after the experiences I've had. Have a couple fun games, then proceed to get sweated on like it's heavy rain.....not to mention the bouts of BS lag and the few bugs/glitches I've seen. I'ma probably just stay away like I did before.
Since youtube won't allow comments with links... here's the abstract from their patent for "System and method for driving microtransactions in multiplayer video games" It reads: "A system and method is provided that drives microtransactions in multiplayer video games. The system may include a microtransaction arrange matches to influence game-related purchases. For instance, the system may match a more expert/marquee player with a junior player to encourage the junior player to make game-related purchases of items possessed/used by the marquee player. A junior player may wish to emulate the marquee player by obtaining weapons or other items used by the marquee player."
Good to hear this being talked about and explained so well , especially by an Irish lad 😁 I think if you play with a squad of 5 or 6 it helps avoid the SBMM but jaysus last night was horrendous. This vid came at the right time , im taking some time away from that shite 😂
Interesting you didn't mention how high skill players always tend to back out of lobbies whenever someone can kill them.. they often lobby surf looking for the easiest lobbies possible.. how so many are just reverse boosting these days/ exploiting match making.. how all these high skill players say they want to play casually / they want variety.. yet they always camp meta and are exploiting match making / constantly leaving lobbies.. xdefiant is great at exposing how they can't play casually.. Also I think everyone can agree it's not fun being spawn killed or having score streaks overhead all game.. I don't believe skilled based match making should exist in the way it does with cod.. but I do believe skill brackets are critical for the success of any game.. after all we all want a chance to do well and win.. none of us want to play a game when we stand no chance at winning or doing well.. I also thing another big thing is all these content creators and stuff talking about skilled based match making and stuff as well as the rise of gaming on youtube / twitch.. people can see people of all different skill levels now.. where as before you only really saw the skill level of the people you played against.. not to mention the sheer amount of games these days.. the rise in gamers .. the rise in average skill level, improvements in technology / internet / connections ... I feel like there's a million factors that go into it at the end of the day.
Started playing Cod on Blops 1. Once they started with the sbmm/eomm I stopped spending money on extras. Not putting more money down on a game I enjoy less and less. Even started skipping buying games when I felt it in the Betas. Going from getting destroyed to destroying bots just isn't fun. Lately I even start to feel bad going HAM against a team of no thumbs
Perhaps there was some type of sbmm system in the old cods, but back then there weren't near as many "competitive gamers" as there are now, not to mention as many cheaters. These days everyone has their favorite pro or streamer playing the game, showing the best strategies and exploits. It's a different animal now.
Regional profiling is the factor that P's me off the most. 1.5kd playing from my Canadian home with the most rigged experience possible and 3kd while playing from Cali on a different account. It's all about the $$$$$$$ count
I’m guessing providing more “soothing” and enjoyable gameplay to regions with more money? Similar to server allocation with poorer regions getting worse ping
I have spoken to certain professionals, and they are getting people together to actually make this a law in congress. 2 people buying the same game shouldnt recieve a different experience BY LAW. When you match make based on skill, the game has already pre-determined an outcome. Based on statistical and logistical prediction, you can determine players behaviors and choices. AI is what controls this in 2024. It goes as far as putting only sniper players all in the same lobby, toxic mic players, all get tied in together.
Matchmaking based on skill has been a thing for decades. Even with games that are using server browsers there's team balancing. Every game has some way of trying to put people of the same skill together because it's just the smart thing to do. You aren't going to have someone who's playing street fighter for the first time playing in the same bracket as people winning tournaments. Everyone playing has a "different experience " that's how games work
It feels like my role in 90% of my games is to carry my team to victory or at least be the highest scorer on the team. If I don’t make my way to the top of the leaderboard, the game won’t even be close. And that’s nice when I actually feel like trying my best, but I can’t take a game off. Sometimes I want to earn camos on guns I don’t like or switch up my play style and just camp. But I can’t do that without losing most of those games. Going 16 and 7 means I lose because I was expected to go 45 and 13. It’s such an annoying problem to have with a game
SBMM works very easy. Follow the money. The players who waste more money get easy games the players who kill whales get impossible lobbies so they stop annoying the whales.
You can still learn a lot just by watching trends, listening to feedback and so on. Doesn't make it perfect but then again, just because it's supposed to work in a certain way doesn't mean it will.. I still can explain how someone can get in a lobby and is able to drop over 100 kills without breaking a sweat and the next highest is maybe 20 kills.... on both teams... That just shouldn't happen if the game is working as, it should.
Something changed after cod BO2 devs now make games that they want and want you to play the way they want which stripped the fun factor out of the game and it’s not just cod .
What I can't stand is constantly. I have 5 players on my team that's are b, d and if i dont go off every ga, e i lose.A lotot of the times it is not close. I have double orntriplenkills as any of my teammates. Meanwhile the other team had 4 or 5 above average players. Cod is definitely not a game you can play solo anymore unless you want to have a frustrating time.
For warzone specifically, I have warzone agent and i can get a 0.90 average kd lobby and if i win that game it NEVER fails to give me a 1.10 + average kd the next. It’s just amusing to me lol
I think it was BO2 you had a 6v6 rank play mode. I think it was that after playing five games you would get assigned a rank. I don't remember seeing points given to you after winning, but losing games would eventually lead to demotion. The promotions in rank were a mystery to many of us in those days, you could be gold 1 and then after the game was finished you were platinum. I think that's the SBMM they are talking about from back in the day and it was only in rank. Does anyone remember those days?!
In the OCE matchmaking pool, there's very few players (especially like 3months after release when a new cod DIES) so the removal of your bullets, removal of enemies recoil, making their bullets 1 tap you, etc. is all extremely common, and, extremely obvious. It's always a boglim who can barely rotate the controller sitting in a corner with their freshly purchased skin who is being given aimbot, perfect spawn of enemies and literal invincibility. I play at a very high skill level because I've been playing FPS games for almost 15 years and used to play CS a decade ago, so my matches pretty much go 3-5 wins with top frag, and then a game that's a total travesty where my bullets are turned off, enemies kill me in 1 hit and I always spawn in front of them. I stopped playing COD because it's entirely and wholly rigged to convince the lowest iq, lowest common denominator speds to buy skins. Zombies has been reduced to a skin leveling mode with literally no substance whatsoever in any capacity, it's all an insult.
I should also note this new wave of console kids who know nothing other than aim assist are all cheating on PC with controllers now, justifying it mentally somehow or another. But they all cheat extremely heavily. I usually dont play with them though because they turn off crossplay for the best clips, so theyre fighting people who cant fight back.
What if somehow (and this is going to sound crazy) that it isn’t the SBMM as much as we think it is, and it’s actually because EVERYONE ELSE got sweaty and older players being left behind JoeySweatStainsTTV

@@PhenomRom technically it does with fast paced competitive games... reaction times slow down, eye sight gets worse, hearing gets worse. muscle memory gets worse.. body deteriorates over time.. which has an effect on our ability to play at our best... most older cod players are hitting that age where things slow down.. you get old.. they probably don't want to admit it or accept it.. i know im at that age where im slowing down..
I think what they are saying is engagement isn't a factor in deciding lobbies, but the whole lobby deciding system is in service of engagement. Why would comparing engagement be necessary if the goal is to increase engagement? Maybe matching more engaged players with eachother will make them even more engaged I guess, but they say they aren't doing that so they must have decided against it. My point is that it's not contradictory. It's like saying skill based matchmaking is in service of increasing players skill. It's clearly not. There are factors in the pursuit of a separate goal. Engagement is a goal, not a factor is what they are saying

Same thing. I rly hate meta. Back in og cod games if you skillfull enough you can basically play with whatever gun, even trash. Now if you want to have decent k/d you'll have to play meta.

Thats where its supposed to exist, not in public lobbies

THAT is what it's designed for.

true
MW3 will be my last COD game I buy. Sad.
My issue is my losses and score feel coerced into a specific outcome.
It's inhouse cheating.

Gaming is not it these days

can't forget if you buy things it also goes based on that as well
I'm no good at shooters and I don't want skill based matchmaking either.
I'm not even mad anymore, I'm disappointed. It's amazing how they continue to ruin this game.
the term "engagement" doesn't refer to "gametime" but rather "game retention".
Maybe the final acronym should be "Retention Optimized Match Making"... js.
It's always going to be whatever makes them more money.

Right now EOMM is rampant in modern games. Do you think companies will keep using this kind of matchmaking if this gets widely exposed?
Mind blowing that in a hard point game, i had almost 2 minutes in the point, went 45-16 and we still lost by 5 points 🤔
what’s wild about this. is i have the same exact input. i couldn’t think of the way to explain how the game is so boring for me now and it makes sense. being a slightly above average player i feel like im losing my mind and can’t play more than a few games . but just installed xdefiant and played for hours not even realizing cuz the difference in skill and i felt like i was actually being rewarded with being good rather than punished
I said this since mw19 came out and everyone called me bad and a tinfoilhat. It was the last cod i bought
I love competition but when its unbalanced and against me like a lottery. I wont bother. Im not carrying against wanna be pro/am players when i got fucking no thumb timmies.
Its worse in Ground War since everyone plays it like TDM
Some respectable gameplay. Totally agree with the commentary as well.

When I first got it had decent lobbies but after a while the game was putting me in straight sweat lobbies not to mention the game had bad hit detection to begin with. I ended up going back and playing MW3 and 2 instead which had it too but not as bad.

The problem I have is it will throw me into teams that have no clue how to play the objective, sometimes even having bots or afk as teammates
Well done. I agree entirely.
Why a human would spend their hard earned money to be treated like a rat in a maze is beyond my own ability to comprehend
I think when your game is good you wont have to worry about people backing out or leaving the game

Player engagement is their top priority and nothing they say can convince me otherwise. The longer they can keep you on the game, the higher the chance of you buying something in the in-game store. EOMM is making them money hand over fist. They could release the next CoD for free and still make more money than classic MW2 when it broke records on release.

There are very many data beeing logged to deterimine ur punnishment, ehhm i mean skill factor.
If you take me as an example:
95% of my games during the entire warzone 1 i was playing dual sniper.
I hope actvision remove SBMM in BO6
Agreed Mate just want to have fun on the game again.
My win/loss ratio went down to under 1 started in 2019.. I've been playing since og MW never been close to losing so much.
@@YTisnotfreedom yup same, i lose so much more than in mw2 and mw 2019 combined
Makes me wonder what my skill rating is. Im either run'n'gunning or afk prone in a corner waiting for people
The stress and sweat created by SBMM irritates the hell out of me. Can’t just jump on and have fun anymore.
Since youtube won't allow comments with links... here's the abstract from their patent for "System and method for driving microtransactions in multiplayer video games"
It reads: "A system and method is provided that drives microtransactions in multiplayer video games.
Good to hear this being talked about and explained so well , especially by an Irish lad 😁
I think if you play with a squad of 5 or 6 it helps avoid the SBMM but jaysus last night was horrendous.
Fuck online multiplayer games 🗑️ not worth buying no more
Every rank game literally feels like I’m in a qualifying tournament for 1 million dollars it’s ridiculous 😂😂😂
Exactly what ive been experiencing + spawning on front of people or people spawning behind you when ypu are building a streak
Perhaps there was some type of sbmm system in the old cods, but back then there weren't near as many "competitive gamers" as there are now, not to mention as many cheaters.
These days everyone has their favorite pro or streamer playing the game, showing the best strategies and exploits. It's a different animal now.
Sbmm is fake bc my teamats all ways suck i am the only one good
We've all had that game where you empty half a clip directly in a player that turns and hits you in foot and wins lol now we know why
They need to reduce the legal aim bot. Bring back old school aim assist.
If you really read what they released, you know they fix matches. Why most people aren't raising hell about this is insane
Regional profiling is the factor that P's me off the most. 1.5kd playing from my Canadian home with the most rigged experience possible and 3kd while playing from Cali on a different account. It's all about the $$$$$$$ count
They will fuck up everything that gives them more money.
Everyone playing has a "different experience " that's how games work
I came back to cod after a couple years because it’s on gamepass now and first game I go against ScumpJr, immediately uninstalled after my 3rd game
Why do I feel like this is also in Ranked? Not all Crimsons and Iri’s are built the same.
"You'll know more about SBMM after watching."
"Okay so in reality no one really knows how SBMM works."
Bruh
SBMM works very easy. Follow the money. The players who waste more money get easy games the players who kill whales get impossible lobbies so they stop annoying the whales.
@@alltheflavors9673thats not correct. Ive spend money and lobbies never gotten easy, where ever u got this from is completely Lying to the Audience
Getting “older” doesn’t somehow make you worse at video games. You probably always sucked
Ofc its just players gotten Sweaty. Why else would “Meta” only spawned after 2019, u players are finally seeing how sweaty its been getting compared before (still have sweats but not as bad)
Sure buddy.. my KDR went from 4.0 in 2018 to 1.3 in 2019.. I'd argue the biggest jump in sweats for us old gamers was advanced movement..
quit trying to protect giant corporations that only care about taking money out of your pocket..
I kid you not I played hard point one match on bait had 47 kills went crazy next match I couldn’t even process the ass beating I received went 7 and 34 team death match mofos were moving like they had eco suits
