      I love Deer,I butcher all my own wild game myself.I know what the animal was fed ,acorns and clover, the meat has hardly any fat,and it is much better for you,than beef or pork,my favorite wild game is wild Turkey,it has a much better flavor than farm raised Birds,and I love the hunt,calling them up ,I have spent many years listening too and studying all the calls they make and learning how too reproduce those sounds in the wild often when I am still hunting for Whitetail Deer ,I still hunt.when you are still hunting,you are always walking .first you must train your self too slow down ,I take a few steps the stop,listen, and watch for any movement.if the forest is dry and I know I can't move thru it without making alot of noise ,I put a mouth call in and mimic the sounds of a wild Turkey feeding ,take 2 steps ,stop then scratch the leaves 2 times and give a cluck or 2 and a contented purr then do that again the first time I ever did that I brought in a big Red Fox .LOL he had the funniest look on his face when he saw me.I had too laugh ,he was coming for his Turkey dinner,when he stopped he was maybe 10 feet from me ,and he had a suprised look on his face then he left there like his tail was on fire.LOL.it was funny I bet the next time he heard a Turkey he thought twice before he went after it.

Im spoiled rotten by my lever action .38/.357 rossi and my trusty, tack driving .303 enfield. But if u look behind the seat of my truck all u will find is a 10/22,,, A J.C. Higgins 16 guage and a .380... And I very rarely drive with the 16 gauge because its an old 57/58ish side by side and aside from shells being thru the fkn roof, its getting quite rare and valuable.

    I really enjoyed seeing how hunting is done in Hungary. Of course it is very different than here in my home State of Georgia in the USA. Not only can I sense the care with which the game is managed there, but also the apparent care of the forest. Our woods here...even though our trees are just as large, are now where near as open as yours appear to be. It must be because of the warm weather we have here, because we have a lot of understory in the forest. Also the majority and best part of our deer season occurs before leaf drop. Many of us do try to keep the old traditions of hunting alive and strive for the ethical taking of game animals. Thanks for the great video!

    In New Zealand there is only pheasant shooting with game being driven. The rest of the game is stalked which is the best part, especially as I use only cap and round ball!

    Bravo for your efforts to include these types of firearms in your hunting regulations and laws. These firearms fed a LOT of people in their time and as far as the military ones defended countries from people who would try and overtake said countries. Well capable of taking game animals. Also thank you for all your conservation efforts as well. I am in the USA where we too have an early season for these types of guns. Our conservation efforts are continually monitored and changes are made when necessary for hunting and fishing as well.

    I love this type of hunting. Here in the states, there's something lost with all the latest and greatest polymer stocked rifles. Nothing wrong with them, not against them either, but it leaves out these old vintage guns, the same with our muzzleloading seasons. I am the only person I know who hunts with a gun that is not an inline muzzleloader. I got chastised a little bit hunting squirrels with an old Husqvarna double barrel, until I brought in a nice brace of greys one afternoon. I love hunting with old guns, there's nothing like it and it's something everyone should do. I'm looking for another for this fall. Haven't figured it out yet, will know it when I see it.

      Black powder weapons were apecifically illegal for driven hunts.

    @capandball
    Dear capandball,
    I was asking myself how often you clean your weapons while shooting. Ihave heard that after every shoot some of the burned powder remains in the gun.
    when do you reach the point that these remains become a problem?
    Thank you for the great work. keep it up.

    @Capandball Just a question I have had for awhile.... Would it be legal to hunt in Hungary with a .357 Magnum rifle/Carbine?

    Ah, I love peep sights. I have them on all of my hunting rifles except for my drilling.

    I'd like to see more of the shots, and the processing and eating of the meat. Surely you cooked some up on your first night?
