- Gary Moore - Fire (Blues for Jimi)
Available Now: mercury-studio...
This unique concert was filmed at the London Hippodrome on 25 October 2007. It formed a part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix "Live At Monterey" programme and featured Gary Moore and his band performing classic Hendrix tracks. At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for 3 tracks. Gary Moore was one of the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the few players who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking and truly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from one master guitarist to another.

#GaryMoore #Fire #BluesForJimi
For me the only guitarist together with SRV who truly truly truly can capture the spirit of Hendrix while throwing some of their own flavour over the track. Truly one of the greats
Perfection
In my humble opinion I dont think anyone is capable of a better tribute to Hendrix than Gary Moore who was also a true master!!
Talking about better and capable has nothing humble
Randy Henson.
Few hours ago watched Manic depression by GM. Incredible! So I agree with you
stevie ray vaughan
Yngwie Malmsteen😅
Killer version....drums were great!
That's the meanest version of Fire I've ever heard!
rhcp's version live off the map is insane
I agree with you; Gary Moore had something more than other guitar players that covered Jimi's songs and Jimi's covers. Of course, technical ability on the instrument is part of it, but he also had a special feel, his own, that made Jimi's cover specials.
Mind blowing performance from the master. RIP dear Gary.
What an intense cover ! Hats off for the rythmic section. RIP Gary.
Fantastic....fantastic....Gary Moore, one of the world´s best guitarist
Hard to beat this version! Great performance indeed.........
the master of the guitar from this generation that was gary what a talent .awesome r.i.p gary .,,,mark👍👍👍👍
Definitely my favorite guitarist of all time. Just the passion. That alone.
That's what I feel, Gary Moore and Jimi Hendrix do something to me most guitarists can't. People mention others, but they haven't got that passion.
This absolutely blew my mind
Another great northern irish guitarist
Always get the feeling if Jimi and Gary ever met, they’d get on together so well
they're probably jamming together now
One dislike ?? Guess that person needs to be standing closer to the FIRE !!!
Excellence performed by excellence .....
Fuck yeah!!! (i loved your post)
Has to one of the best guitarists ever!!!God bless you Gary 💚
SPOT ON, HOLY MOLY!
Thank you Jimi and Gary
Effin amazing! RIP gary moore

Not many people could smash Jimi Hendrix but Gary Moore could great tribute ✌️
Drummer on Fire!
Ennio Balbi ...1st thing I noticed...
Stand on it Gary!
Well he is the only one, who could play it like that = One of the Masters
Mercury Studios Gary Moore is an Irish man!
British he is from NI.
Damn..! Gary really got the fire within!!! - Belfast sirens...
Amo alla follia Gary Moore per la grinta che aveva sopratutto in questo brano! Poi sinceramente non capisco quelle persone a cui non piace questo video!
What a master! Is playing is so precise, intense, perfect!!! (Too much gain for my personal taste, but who cares about my personal taste...)
CleanTone i agree his playing was incredible but a little too much gain for my liking as well. But who cares about my liking.
The realist of deals 🎶 ❤️
Incredible player, the best ever. The one man who could play Hendrix better than Hendrix.
Excellent !
Sweet jesus lord GM ROCKS THIS ONE! 👑

Jó volt ez a videoklip, üdvözlettel Klára.
Gary was a force of nature. Jaw-dropping.
The only thing I never got is why he left off the opening riff. It's there on his studio recording but he never did it live?
Played like a drum and bass song. Love it. Gary is the best guitarists ever. Only him and maybe SRV and sometimes Clapton can improve on Jimi Hendrix
Clapton and Steve Winwood doing Voodoo Chile not slight return is amazing. I highly suggest you go watch it.
Are you joking Clapton couldn't improve on Hendrix huh
@@ontariobuds yep saw them play that live. Amazing
John Frusciante did the Hendrixism
These guys are technically amazing. You can't take that away from them. But there was a difference between them and Jimi. They play the guitar and as good as they are they exert considerable effort in so doing. With Jimi there didn't seem to be any effort. He was completely at one with that instrument. In that sense it was hard to tell whether he was playing the guitar or the guitar was playing him.
when you wrote Gary Moore was one of the finest ''British'' guitarists I have to Correct you he was Ireland Finest Guitarist along side Rory.
Grumberf Warcraft' erin go bragh ❤️❤️❤️
Sorry mate gary was from northern ireland which means he was british
Another great northern irish guitarist Rip
he was the finest of whole world 👍👍👍mark
@@marcvanvliet9386 LOVE LOVE LOVE GARY MOORE! THE MASTER GUITAR! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 THE BEST! 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 BRASIL. 👩🏻💻😭🎸08-08-2022
The best that I've ever heard !
BLUESNISIMO, GIVE MOORE GIVE ME MOORE. HAPPY DAY HAPPY LIFE
Atemberaubend, Rasant wie eine Achterbahnfahrt auf LSD.
Not many people could do what he did. R.I.P.
Gary can play this better than me
🤣
And Hendrix
Jimi is my go to guy, but this...holy fuck!
Could you guys imagine those two guitar monsters alive and joined?
Dênis Paschoalinoto ...Maybe they are in Heaven...(or do they only play that song in Hell ....”Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.”
Matthew 18:8 - www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Matthew%2018:8&version=KJV)
They could Rape the guitars soul.
That Strat looks so new an clean. Not the one he usually used. Pink or the white one. Both had Tremelo arms
It is the same Fender Fiesta red that is well known and which John Cruz made 60 of, purchase price at the time 12.5K$. Gary's Fiesta Red is actually a tremolo version, but he kept the bridge "on the deck" to mitigate tuning problems.
That particular Fender Strat was not completely original, since Gary had it refretted with jumbos, and at least one of the pickup is Seymour Duncan.
Last but not least, the color of this guitar was always a big question mark. John Cruz said, at the time, that he thought this guitar may have been a sunburst originally, and repainted red thereafter. Nobody will ever know!
In fuckin’ sane!!!!
1:08 ... okay o.O 2:07 ... and okay again O.O
How do you make that sound at 2:50 which the emergency respond vehicles make?? I can’t figure it out help please!!!
Looks like he's tuning down his b string while also hammering on and pulling off somewhere around the 12-15th frets on the b string.
let me stand........gary
shit hot drummer....
well...Gary certainly could play his guitar (s)......yep....he was on fire every time on stage....
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You got to have fingers that can crack walnuts and calluses that scare children when seen to play that song properly.
Magnifique version@mais ma version préférée reste la version Hendrixienne jouée en mai 1970 à Berkeley par Hendrix lui lui-même @plus sauvage @ au même titre que Johnny be goode toujours à Berkeley 1970@Garry more restera toujours un superbe musicien @
who are the drummer and bassist? Awesome rocking clip!
The bassplayer is Dave Bronze (has played for Eric Clapton & Robin Trower and others), and the drummer is Darrin Mooney (ex-Primal Scream, drummer for Scars with Gary Moore and with Gary's solo band). Both are great musicians!
1:08
gone too soon...
Hey this is great. I know he was in Thin Lizzy long time ago. Didn't he die last year? He shoulda just stick to the rock, cause he sure can play.
He died in 2011 fella
The drum intro was an afront to Mitch
le batteur est très chaud!!!!
What a great cover his own spin but enough of a nob to jimis sounds instead of making it ultra shred
+jimjim506 Agreed, I prefer when people do JH covers they make it their own. Nothing worse than listening to someone try to sound exactly like JH as it always comes up short.. Gary never lets me down not over played, just the right amount of fire in his own style... Bravo
+Jesse Roberson nod* not nob lol, and yeah. Having been that guy that makes a mess of a Jimi cover I gotta say it's so much better when people take what he did and add their own flourish same way he did with the blues !
This is Red Hot Chili Peppers Rendition of Fire 🔥
HiilBilly rinky tink
Too fast...
Gary Moore was Irish, not British.
no drummer there
behind, badly.bad
hm, play's like a machine - with no spirit ... -__-
Not one of Gary's best.
Its Jimi's
