@@tonycstech I have an issue with the spreadsheet. Its not changing colors to tell me the swaps or ETC. i used your exact numbers in this video to test and it didn't work
Hi Tony, your video is extremely clear, simple, complete and detailed. Sharing the table sheet through was the cherry on the top. Thank you very much, you've been so helpful I subscribed to your channel! Best of luck
Just the video I needed to feel confident in tackling this job on my 05 zx6r. I’m a visual person and your videos are very clear and concise! Thanks so much !
About to tear down my 23'. Assuming they're roughly same same. 5k miles and she's a tappity tappin😅😂 hoping it ain't the bottom end from all them willys.
@@Jojocarsnbikes 42000 KM is for none US models. For US models its different and more critical. 1st adjustment is typically done at 5-7K miles, Next at 14-15K miles and then at 30 and every other 30. This is not stated in the manual for this year bike but is for previous generations. Nothing much has changed so following old advice for adjustment periods is a good thing.
Just hought a new ZX-6R; formerly had a 1994 ZX-11, which was an easier procedure. Thanks for offering such a concise presentation for the ZX-6R. I never considered spraying kerosene as a disassembly aid; great tip! 😃
Best valve adj. Vid i've ever seen
About to pull my valve cover and do this job. 2015 at 17,600 miles, it’s time….this is easily the best video I’ve seen for this job.
Amazing level of detail in the video with easy to understand instructions. Great Job Tony!
Thank you for watching

Yet another reason why a vintage Norton Commando looks so right.
So when an “adjustment” is made, it’s really just adjusting the shims for the perfect gap?
This is a fantastic video on a process. Thank you! And that spreadsheet linked in the description is worth the price of admission. :D That's a keeper!
great video man u save a lot of money for us . Cheers
Is the magical form that tells you the correct shim in the link?
Good Job.
intro made me tab back into the video i thought i knew that sound somewhere lol
Was it the owners manual that told you exactly what tools are needed to tak the bike apart?
Thanks for the video. Detail was great.
is there supposed to be alot of tension when you turn the engine to top dead center
So good. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Excellent work👍👍👍. Thanks for sharing.
Those cams look beefier on the 636 compared to the 599cc
Thanks for the video. It is very helpful.
I would like to use that spreadsheet if possible but its a view only.
Gotta make a copy of it
Struth looks hard
Watch my other video I did for 2006 bike. I do it with an engine removed. Same process. Maybe it will help.
@@tonycstech I did it today wasn't too bad lucky they were in spec

Is this the 600 or 636?
599 i dont believe they make 636 past 2006. Technically the bike's discplacement is 599/36.6
@@mrjaybennett802013s and above are 636
its not super easy .....
