I've found these videos describing fabrics super helpful. I live in Spain and when I go fabric shopping I never know the name of the fabric I'm looking at. It's not even the language barrier; they often don't have them labeled (and I'm not going to follow the shop clerks around asking what each fabric is 🙈). I like that you're showing how each kind of fabric moves and feels- that's going to be super helpful in future shopping trips!

An interfacing video would be very useful indeed. So please could you produce one? Moreover I think you should produce a complete pattern making and dressmaking masterclass up here on TH-cam. I think the knowledge and tips you will pass on will be totally invaluable to us. I have a really quick tip on how to re thread a sewing machine. Cut the Thread at the spool end and and put the new spool all on the sewing machine and tie a knot in the thread you've just cut that attaches to the new spool thread and just pull it at the needle and through the Machine until the knot has travelled through the needle and then cut it. There you go a quick way way of re threading a sewing machine. Foolproof. Ayisha. Have you ever tried to clone a pattern form a dress or a skirt from a picture you've seen in a magazine or book? If so could you show us how it's done please? By the way where did you get that yellow top that you're wearing underneath that check shirt? As I think it's gorgeous. Also have you ever done block printing onto fabric? Ayisha. I love your channel and I hope 2021 brings you a handmade wardrobe of your dreams. One final request. omg the shrinkage. i got a plaid flannel shirt made of 100% rayon once. the small fit perfectly in the store, but i knew it'd shrink, so i got a medium. after washing it i swear it shrank to be smaller than the original small, more like the extra small. making your own stuff out of it, good fine fantastic. buying something made of it from a place that likely didn't prewash? 0/10 don't recommend lol also yes interfacing video!!! idk what it's like in UK stores, but when you ask about interfacing at Joann (idk if it's outside the US but it's the main fabric store chain here) they only ever point you to the fusible non-woven stuff! i didn't realize there were other kinds until i took a legit sewing class and now i have so much more understanding of why my collars would sometimes look weird*. but i know not everyone can take a legit class, but i've never seen anyone talk about the details of interfacing so i'm sure plenty of people don't know about it. (*non-woven looks sorta like felt, and since it isn't woven there's no grainline or bias. so while a collar is shaped in a specific way and can curve around thanks to bias, when you fuse it with a non-woven thing, it can't really do that as easily. so if your interfaced collar gets wonky points instead of staying in a smooth curve, that's probably why. i usually use knit interfacing for everything now, since it's usually made of polyester, while the regular woven stuff is cotton which will shrink. and i don't want to deal with trying to prewash interfacing lol)
Thank you for your video on viscose. I have bought some viscose to make some tops. I haven't made clothes for years. I know it will have to be pre washed but when I've made my tops how do I wash them. Will the fabric still shrink. Yes please to interfacing video.
Sometimes viscose continues shrinking even after the first washing😣I had a dress (from a store) that became shorter after several washes. The polyester lining started showing from under the main fabric. Not just lightly peeking during movement! The dress was fully showing like 3 cm of lining😢

Did you make that top that you're wearing?
I always make French seams in viscose and serge where it's not possible.
