Okay, I'm looking through the BTS videos and I can't find it. But literally just google "Gidle super lady inspiration" and it'll pop up. There are even Reddit posts saying the members (excluding Shuhua) went to Beyoncé's Atlanta show

I think the Cruella fit was more referencing the new Cruella in the live action where she doesn't really kill the dogs (for now haha). Plus, it's Emma Stone, Yuqi is probably a fan.

Yeah GIDLE have very unique voices and are very easy to distinguish from each other (including Soojin). One of the reasons why they attracted me to stan them all those years ago.

This song is a masterpiece soyeon made this for opening their concert, because she thought they needed a song that is for concert opening. Super lady is perfect in big stages ❤️ soyeon was inspired by beyeonce, although she didn't explained further because the promotion was cut short.

If it helps, in an interview, it was said that Yuqi's Cruella is inspired specifically by the Cruella depiction from the 2021 live action film which rewrote her as a more sympathetic heroic character who never actually crosses the line of killing dogs.

To be honest, I don't know if she soured against SL because "Fate" got all the spotlight of the album (even though "Fate" was the actual contender to be the title track), because the promotions got cut short due to the members falling sick one after another, or just because the entire album production was rushed.

3:29, that's basically the reason why it was a failure in Korean charts given gidle's monstrous K-chart performance. "Fate" recovered it by getting PAK later from the same album but Super Lady's bridge, outro & that sudden ending were enough for me to make it the least streamed gidle title track by a mile!
But it doesn't matter cuz I'll always respect & support what Soyeon deems correct/fit for the group. She's our ace, so it can be overlooked.
