Tis MV costs ₩1.1billion and a lot elements from 2nd gen K-pop girls group and current 4th gen group according to other K-pop lovers.
So if it doesn't impress, I dunno what does.
But for me, it's just damn cool with strong movie elements as Soyeon always included in their MVs! And the songs r killers.
BTW, Minnie is probably Medusa.
I was stunned by this music video. Female empowerment at its highest and especially they are gorgeous and so beautiful it hurts my eyes, but it's a pleasing sensation.

The budget for this whole song/MV is 1.1billion won and perhaps this is one of the reasons it has to be made shorter. Otherwise it would cost even more if they make it longer. Just guessing and may not totally make sense.

Minnie is Medusa and is on a circle that looks like a shield. Soyeon is Athena. according to legend, Medusa was Athena's slave. Medusa was raped by Poseidon precisely in Athena's temple. Medusa's life was miserable. Also, Athena cursed Medusa to become a snake and banished her from the temple. Poseidon eventually decapitated her and placed her head on a shield(Minnie is on a circle that looks like a shield, hence why she is Medusa. There was also a moment in the clip where Soyeon was wearing Athena's helmet).
In the clip they show Soyeon and Minnie hugging the statue of Poseidon and it explodes. Most likely the girls wanted to show female friendship/solidarity and that no man is worth such humiliation and disagreements as Athena and Medusa were having
Not to be a nerd but being a nerd my College professor on antique ocident told us the myth of the Medusa could actually be about Athena herself rather than about Medusa. Since the rape happens in a place that belong to Athena, she was also violated by his acts. In this reading, Medusa is a part of Athena that became a monster of sorts, like a mental struggle. Medusa dies after Athena herself helps the killer, meaning Athena is moving on by killing that part of her that came from the rape. Its not a precise quote to my teacher, but its one of the many interpretations of the myth

I really enjoyed this M/V and song as well as your reaction! They killed it serving fierceness, cvnt, body, and looks! Parts of the song melody reminded me of Pirate-Everglow and T-ara Sugar-Free. We all knew going in it was going to be heavily 2NE1 inspired visually and they delivered and did not disappoint! Love a good female empowerment anthem which had me gagged! My fav look was the Cruella De-vil outfit and the ending crystal diamond body suit! It reminded me of Beyoncé in The Beyoncé Experience tour costume which is a huge compliment. I'm not a big G-Idle fan but I am definitely adding this to my playlist with the only other song I have on it by them which is Dumb-di-dum. I think I read they spent just under a million for the M/V.

Here’s the craziest part… the G-Idle members actually paid for part of the production on their own, because they wanted it over the top, and the label didn’t want to pay that much for the video. So they did it themselves. Bonkers.

My theory is: According to some people since this is their 5th year anniversary, this song has many throwbacks to their previous comebacks. Soyeon's scorpion (HANN), Minnie's shield (LION or it could be the AEGIS SHIELD which was used to kill medusa), shuhua's cake (TOMBOY - Soyeon's infamous rap scene) and Miyeon's scene is extremely similar to the one in OH MY GOD. Also, Soyeon also mentions I NEVER DIE in the lyrics. The statue on which soyeon is standing during her rap part is probably ATHENA (a very famous goddess in Greek mythology and the on ewho gave the aegis shield). THE GODDESSES HAVE RETURNED.👏👏 Thank you for your wonderful reaction.❤

i was amazed at this song!! minnie stood out in this era to me! i loved her rap OMGG! everyone isn't liking this song's chorus from what i've heard but i love this song SO MUCH! the chorus is so catchy and when people say its "a forgettable" chorus i totally can't believe that!!

This is so referential to 2NE1's "I AM THE BEST" and some aesthetics from T-ARA, I love it so much!
In my opinion, I saw a lot of references in this MV, like Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Cruella, Beyonce, T-ara and also 2NE1. And the common about them is they all ladies, and they all powerful in their own way, which is the main idea of theme, "Super lady". I wouldn't say this is plagiarism, infact G-idle took inspiration from those ladies, combined and we got this amazing MV.

It's okay to say it. I haven't seen anything like this since Blackpink. This was visually appealing, the cuts between the members, there was defined characteristics unique to each member, and they brought it together at the end. This is the way! It's similar visually, but the lyrics are definitely Idle....oh, main difference between the 2 groups in music video style, these ladies have no issues getting touchy touchy with it....

What a production! Love the MV and song. Cube only contributed to half of the MV’s budget. The other half was paid for by I-DLE themselves.
I found it easier to focus on the song when watching the performance video over the actual MV. So much was going on it was overwhelming. So yeah, if you haven't check out the performance. You appreciate the song more there.

I feel like Idle crushes the girl power concept so well because they actually believe it. Like this is THEIR song it wasn't put it front of them by a run of the mill company and they're told what they're going for. This is a concept worked out by them so they can get to a place where they are all happy with what they are putting out, like with Nude and how excited the girls were because Shuhua was willing to go blonde for it.
