Thank you so much Denise, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and cute little pieces. I really really love ❤️ those soft pastels. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I have pastels I never use, that I'll take out now and play with. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration! I really really enjoy your videos, they always get me out of a slump.....was starting to feel like I just 'collect' art supplies.
I love the texture in these! The colors are wonderful. I love the coral/salmon with the mossy green! Yummy. I have those Derwent charcoal blocks on my wish list. 😀 Love, love, love these! 💜💜💜
Loved the outcome Denise! Have to say was a bit skeptical at first with the colour palette, but the addition of the gorgeous pastels really made the pieces POP! 🧡🤎💚
I love this technique and how you tried different paintings and not concentrating on one piece. When I do that then I usually overwork the painting and ruin it. Must try this!🖌️🎨
These charcoal sticks, make me shiver. I don´t like to hold in them, but they are cool. Gives so much texture :) When I´m unsure if I want to add something or what color to use I take a thin clear plastic piece on top of my painting and try what I want to do on that. Usually I can just wipe the plastic clean again. Thank you and see you next time :)😘
WOW, YOU WERE BRAVE TODAY!!!❤ I think i would have lost that card, lol. Seriously, i actually loved them all. I did love your least favorite as one of my top 3. Who knew these colors and mediums would turn out so beautifully. You really went for it in today's video. ❤❤❤
@2lilowlsstudio no thank you. I got to take a little break to watch your video today. Today is a no art day, we are prepping for our newst pug to arrive tomorrow. ❤️
Hello peach pastel! Your very favorite is mine too! So fun. I just realized that I have a small box of Conte’ crayons that I want to play with like this…see what they will do. FUN!
I love to break several pages at a time with Lyra water soluble graphite, then wet and sprinkle salt or other texture techniques. After it dries I add the color pallet. Thank you for creating these videos. I love to watch and try...and I always feel accomplished when I am done.❤❤❤
I tried your technique for the first time today, using a colour palette from a website and the art materials I already had on hand (watercolours, acrylics, pencils, pastels, paint markers) and had a lot of fun just making art without thinking about it too hard. I love the end result too!
I loved that peachy soft pastel - it helped me realize that I need to remind myself that when I pull a color scheme with a bunch of very similar colors (especially browns), I can just increase the proportion of the “accent” color. I also love soft pastels and think it would be fun to start with them, since they dissolve in water, too!
You can really see the texture close up and I love them. Think my favorite is your 2nd favorite. You are just whipping out these color challenges, Gal!
How do you feel about oil pastels? I like soft and oil pastels. I like the oil pastels because they’re creamy and go on smooth. The soft pastels show more texture, but feel chalky in my hands. A video comparing the soft pastels and the oil pastels would be interesting. Have a great weekend!
I dont have the cards but I do have Sarah's digital catalog. I cant really be random with that but I did work with the same colors which I loved. I am really and earthy color palete kinda artist. So I have to push myself to get away from those but I had fun with this!
Oh my - the coral/salmony soft pastel is like butter!! So pretty!! I like this palette and love how they came out. Thanks, also, for showing us how you spray the fixative - I too was wondering about that. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a question. Have you ever got an art supply and after you tried it initially you just didn't ever want to use it again? Love this project. Also thank you for your patience to tell us older folks things more than once.Have a great weekend.😊
There art lots of things I've gotten.. used once.. put down... and forgot about it... lots of pens I've ended up not liking... but most of the time, I rediscover things later that I forgot about... and am now excited about. I go through art phases... so not much that I have truly disliked. 🥰
That nib has groves in it that the ink sits in and as the nib touches paper the ink starts to flow out of those groves. I don’t know the more technical or accurate way to say that - it is kinda magic 😊
I haven't went through all your videos....but have you ever worked with fusion powders? Just wondering because I went on a rampage and bought a lot of them but I never pull them out and work with them now. What would you do with them? Thanks for today's lesson.....btw I love soft pastels.....:) 🌸💮🌺
Beautiful! I just want to clarify before I buy it- the brush you used is the Raphael? What size? The link goes to #3. ( the first brush you used) Thanks
The lady that offers those is from Australia and I think I read that she set up several shipping points in different countries. Doesn't take long to get them. I got mine in less than a week I think. 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio oh woooooooooow thats coooool. Your paint today inspire to paint a forest with a gently beginn of fall. I'm in love with this colours. Good to have you here 🥰.
Ha! Six or 10 or 12 pics! YES!! That salmon color pastel is PERFECT!! Love that!!

I'm an art supply collector too... now I have a reason to dig them all out... so glad you are enjoying these! Thank you!! 🥰
I had my doubts up until the bright coral colour was added. Turned out great. Now I’m going to go play. 😀
That coral really pulled these together for me too!! Thank you!! 🥰
I love it when you break up the page into six sections. I’m a card maker, and this gives me lots of card fronts.
It is so fun to play on lots of pieces at the same time! 😊
Great idea! 💡😊
This is almost exactly how I create my watercolors!
Cool! 😊

When you pick out & use a card from the cube, do you make notes into it to remind yourself you’ve used it and what you thought about the results?
You could… I don’t since I can just back to the video 😊
Could you explain sometime in a video how those nib pens work? I don’t get how it can flow so well just by dipping in.
That nib has groves in it that the ink sits in and as the nib touches paper the ink starts to flow out of those groves. I don’t know the more technical or accurate way to say that - it is kinda magic 😊
I just recorded a video on using the pen nibs! I'll publish it next week showing some of the different ones I have and some tips with them. 😊
@@2lilowlsstudio thank you. That helps plus I’ll wait for your video.

Rafael #0 and Princeton #4 - the links may be showing several sizes in those listings 😊
Do you have an alternate source that you can recommend for the brass nib? STLartsupply is out of stock.
I googled Kakimori Brass Nib and a few places come up. This one looks like they are in stock: www.bostongeneralstore.com/products/brass-nib

How about pencil being under AND over some pastel?
Yeah - go for it! 😁
