I don’t think you need to use fancy bread, but I love this with cinnamon bread.

My gran made amazing bread pudding with plain white bread! Can't wait to see how this compares. She cooked hers in a bowl over water (double boiler). It was the best! Hahaha I remember my mother going on a health food kick and she made four loaves of whole wheat bread every Saturday to last the week. We wanted fluffy sandwich bread and HATED the whole wheat bread. But it did make a good afterschool snack. Toasted, covered with margarine and cinnamon sugar. We would have that and Constant Comment tea with sugar and milk, for a snack. Back in the 70s margarine was supposedly healthy, OMG. I have a mason jar with a stainless steel paddle and make homemade cultured butter, now! Happy cooking everyone, cheers and well met!

Ya mam said the portions of the ginger biscuit dough should be as big as a pea, that's why you didn't get 40. Do as ya mam tells ya.

It's because that part comes at the end of the show and this is just a segment.

I'm wondering where the last 10 peices went! Roll into 50 pea size balls, mark with the back of your fork. Makes 40. Scratches head!
I cleaned my mom's spice cupboard when I came home from college once and she had jars in there she had gotten when she got married. Oh my. My college was the Culinary!

It’s 50 pence piece size, not a pea
