  • I've been meaning to create this video since the beginning of summer and I am so glad I finally got to make it before I leave for college. All of these tanks are fairly beginner, low-tech, low maintenance. I've been in the hobby for around three years now but I have been on and off because of school. Please comment below with any questions on equipment or livestock! Hope you enjoy.

Bumblebee horned nerite snails and amano shrimps are always great addition for cleaning algae! And they looked beautiful and interesting also. I think the tank is big enough for the betta, just maybe lower the water level or put lid on it just in case. Can't wait for next update, great tanks!

Thank you!! I do have one normal nerite in the tank right now but those bumblebee nerites look awesome! I do have to say I am known for filling my tanks up to the brim (I'll learn my lesson soon). Gonna have to lower that asap. Thanks for the suggestions!

Great video. Love your tanks. For algae issues i have had great success controlling it with floating plants, esp water lettuce. Also, One thing about the Aqueon internal filter in your betta tank. I have used those also and ihave lost two bettas because they wedged themselves behind the filter and got trapped there overnight. I almost lost a third but i caught it in time. It's a terrible guilty feeling waking up to that in the morning. I would place a sponge or some kind of a foam pad behind it so he cant swim back there.

Thank you so much!! I actually used to stick pothos roots behind the filter which worked perfectly to keep him out of that tight space. Once I get back to school I'll be sure to do that again, that's so sad to hear about your bettas. Thanks so much for the suggestions!
