  • Hi guys, In this video you will be learning how to make the cereal "Fonio Porridge" or "Acha Pudding" as it is popularly known in Nigeria.
    You will be needing:
    1. 1 1/2 cup of Acha (Fonio)
    2. Milk (Powdered or Liquid)
    3. Sugar (desired quantity)
    You will be teaching you how to:-
    1. Wash the Acha very well and rid it of dirt and stone particles.
    2. How to cook it after wash.
    3. How long to cook it.
    4. How to serve the pudding when it's cooked.

      It's looks whitish in color normally. So it's possible you bought the right one.

      It's mostly sold in local market where you get grain. So far, it's more popular in the North I think.

      It becomes soft when it's cooked. You just need to taste it.

      I don't suggest you give this porridge to a baby because I feel it will be too strong for babies.
      Instead, I will suggest you grind it into powder form after washing it and it dries up. Then make it like pap.

      It's might be available in a superstore near you. It's packaged and cleaned in a zip lock or I could waybill to you
