I’m here after purchasing these headphones yesterday I watched archie vid couple days back and let me tell you I was skeptical about purchasing cause of the $160 price range for these headphones I didn’t want to be stuck with bad headphones knowin I own multiple pairs of different brand headphones and didn’t meet my match but bro I see why these are the most sought out headphones in studios 😭😭 these things are AMAZING 15/10 you literally can hear everything clearly you can hear what’s wrong in your take while recording and having knowledge to clean it up that I wouldn’t have notice in other headphones these headphones are so crystal clear I was literally in shock and couldn’t believe what I was hearing 😭 if you were thinking about buying these headphones DO NOT HESITATE listen to Archie and no I’m not a bot 😭

I am on my first set of M50x's for times when I want to listen to music at home and not bother other people. I have upgraded the ear pads because the first ear pads wore out. So far they beat out my senheiser budget headphones, and any gaming headset I own. They are ALMOST as good as my IEM's. Of course my main sound system is a whack of HI-FI amps, dacs and tower speakers, all Klipsch ( Real Klipsch from a dealer not best buy ) So far these are the best set of closed back headphones I have ever owned. They can be driven by anything. No Dac Necessary but it does help. I like these WAAAAAAAAAY better than my DT 770's which I honestly despise. Personal preferences and ears aside, I dont think you can go wrong with these.

Can anyone help me with this question? I bought the ath-m50x and the sound is wonderful. However, I have a problem. I can't wear them for more than 20 minutes without starting to feel discomfort. Within an hour of use my head starts to hurt and the pain around my ears is exhausting. Has anyone had this happen to them? How can I fix it? My job requires me to wear headphones for about 12 hours at a stretch, so this discomfort, coupled with the fact that they are somewhat heavy headphones, is causing me problems.

@@herrsakal6150 Thank you very much for your advice. I have heard good comments about the Beyerdynamic, and almost everyone tells me that the dt 770 pro are very comfortable. I've seen them and the only thing I don't like about them is that they look a bit heavy, plus the cable, which is fixed and spring-like. The ATH M50x's I had to keep (they were more expensive to return). Right now I'm deciding between the dt 770 and the Bose QC 45.

@@residentzero Hey, I bought two versions of the Brainwavz hm5's, one in velvet and one in synthetic leather. Comfort improved with both, especially the velour ones, but only for a little while. They were too big and fit too tight. I didn't want to stretch them any further, for fear of the headband deforming. The worst thing was that it completely altered the sound. I had to go back to the original pads that I can use longer. These headphones are definitely not for me. I will use them only for precise moments and specific jobs, but not for day to day use.
