I’ve recently deleted tik tok completely because it was wasting my time, I get how you’re feeling. I always keep up to date with my TH-cam subscriptions and I love consuming your content! My fav videos to watch are longer style vlogs where I can drink a coffee or grab a snack and just chill. You’re an inspiration in many ways for me. I hope you keep up with TH-cam :)

your content feels so calming and joyous to me fr. in my final year of university trying to submit my dissertation and study for exams and sometimes it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel but the shots at the start of this video reminded me that life is so so beautiful and i can make it through. thank you

I completely get it with the doom scroll on tiktok, I’ve been off it for 2 months and I can feel my brain clearing up…literally. The short form content and the up and down dopamine shots is so overwhelming. It’s so nice having more intentional and artistic videos that are curated and not quick/fast videos. It’s the same as Instagram.

Claire I just wanted to say I’m always so inspired by you! I usually will read your book suggestions, and they’ve all been really good. I’ve particularly been interested in stoicism lately, so it was cool to see you rec some related books. Following you has really helped me to push myself to be a better version of myself. I’ve been thinking about deleting or limiting Twitter for the same reasons that you’re struggling with TikTok. I just feel like I waste a lot of time on there, even though it’s fun, but I want to focus more on myself and my circle. Anyways, thanks for these thoughtful vlogs, it’s really good to see another positive gay role model! Very relatable and your content makes me think a lot. Thanks 🖤

I hear you, dude! I used to make content on TikTok and realized I wasn’t enjoying having to rush my thought processes to create bite-sized content. I’m actually not on the app at all anymore. It’s better for me that way. I used to literally feel it sucking my energy. It hasn’t been feeding me for a long time, it just takes. So I appreciate the long form, authentic content way more. I wanna make videos like yours!! Super creative, intentional and feel like a breath of fresh air. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic!! ❤

I hope you continue your masc fashion content on TH-cam! I’m not masc but I love fashion videos and I’ve heard a lot of people say they miss fashion creators on TH-cam. Plus you’re cute and I like to watch your style content I’m sure other fems do too hehe

No bc I seriously can feel myself getting dumber too…. Maybe I’m being drama but I stg I have like brain fog a lot of mornings from doom scrolling before I get up. It seriously is so addictive I used to be like okay whatever but I have now watched myself delete and download that app 10 times or ignore so many dif app time limits bc of how big short form content has gotten. It has RUINED my attention span, which in turn has really hindered my ability to accomplish goals or stay motivated. Maybe this will motivate me to keep that shit deleted. Im glad other people are feeling this way and recognizing that it is truly addictive because I was starting to be like okay this is pathetic just get off the app and go on a walk girl.

I definitely feel the same way about tik tok! I’m starting to stray away from social media in general bc I feel like I’ve been way too influenced and I need to reconnect with the things I actually like outside of my phone.

Yo Claire! Good to see you again, bro.
I want to point out that, for the most part, your big thumbnail titles were in white, and they were usually paired with a background was that also of a lighter color, so reading the title was a bit difficult. I'm glad we're running with yellow now, hahah. I love the handwritten font you chose to communicate with us through the video, it goes really well with the overall theme of these videos being a sort of journal of yours. I like the handwritten yellow thumbnail title too!
Your videos remind me more and more of Chella Man's. Have you ever watched any of his videos on TH-cam? He is a true artist to me, and I think you could be inspired by some of the ideas behinds his videos. He used to do lifestyle videos such as vlogs and tags, but then he started doing other cool stuff like art experiments and videos collages. Don't be scared to make this TH-cam channel your creative playground cause' I'd love to see more of your stuff.
Careful with audio levels! Music is amazing, but it was a little loud in the beginning of the video. I couldn't hear what your mom said (see 1:28)
Yoo, I'm reading Grit right now! Shout out to us! (tho I'm a little bit tired of reading self-help lol, i wanna go back to reading fiction soon like Philip K. Dick's books or something other than self-help)
Could you also include dates between the chapters in the video? Sometimes I get lost! Maybe putting "a day later" or anything that help us understand the time frame between activities?
I just know you're gonna get into photography soon 👀 have you ever used a film camera before? It's so fun! If not, you'll notice that since film has a set of shots you can take, you feel more grounded in the fact that there is only a finite amount of pictures you can take. Idk, I think since you are having these feelings of social media and tech fatigue, having a more physical and analog machine to operate artistically could help.
As a video editor, I'm fatigued as well. Be it as work and or as a recreational activity. I'm changing careers because I can't stand to be in this space as a means to an end. If you want to broaden your horizons, I believe watching the video "The Death of The Follower" by Conte will serve you well, and perhaps allivate some guilt that all creators are feeling in regards to not performing for the algorithms that plague us: th-cam.com/video/5zUndMfMInc/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUZdGhlIGRlYXRoIG9mIHRoZSBmb2xsb3dlcg%3D%3D
Please do a Q&A video one day! I think it'd be awesome to get to know you better. Let us send you videos with our questions so we can make a cameo hehehe
I'm watching these! Your friendly 22-year-old butch lesbian tech-sports-music nerd. Damn, that was a lot adjectives in one sentence...
Other than that, hair is looking immaculate. I'm so glad to see other masculine women cutting their hair shorter and shorter. Proud of you, I know how difficult it is to be a "dyke dyke" in the eyes of straight people.

Love the calm vibe this vlog was giving today!🫶🏼 Btw, about the TikTok boredom topic; even as a consumer I’ve been experiencing that as well! I’ve just been bored to the point I’ll go on it a few times a week MAX. And to be honest it feels like such a breather. But I do wonder what has caused that too🤔
