from our view we knew hc would never do any harm to xl but for fengxin and muqing, it must have been terrifying. when he said "please dont do this him. he has suffered enough" feng xin was truly worried and begging for xie lian's safety
I completely understand their povs and thought the overprotectiveness was cute too ☺️

I find this scene so cute because Feng Xin and Mu Qing genuinely wanted to protect Xie Lian
Yea and their character in the beginning didn’t show it, but it did later on, like in this scene, which makes this scene even better

@@rouye3123 not op and very late but if I remember correctly I think they were arguing about the events in Book 4 like with XL's robbery, mu qing leaving, the event with heavenly officials, and feng xin leaving after.. XL asked HC about this in Book 5 or in the extras ig??? hehe correct me if I'm wrong!
@@pepperopine2486 yeah i don’t remember where in the book it was, but hua cheng brought up how they left xie lian and they were all like “hOw DiD hE kNoW??” and that’s when he revealed they said it on the mountain. it was a bit before xie lian learned he was the ghost fire i think
All this scene is mindblowing to me!! It made me have so many feelings at once. For one part, I really do love how Mu Qing and Feng Xin cared about Xie Lian. I love how at the end, they still considered him important and wanted to protect him.
And I mean, I understand why they were shocked in the cave... It was a little creepy knowing it was Hua Cheng's doing. But in the other hand, as someone said on tumblr, you can understand that maybe, he was just trying to keep up with all the bullsh*t that Moutn TG was. He was there for over 10 years, surely he needed some reassurance to keep going and become stronger to protect his crown prince.
And I think that at the end, more that awkward, Xie Liean truly felt fondly of all of that expression. I mean, even if he lived 800 years without luxury and even without worshippers, he WAS the Crown Prince of Xie Le... he WAS revered and was once the number 1 martial god apart Jun Wu. I think he craved little inside his heart, to be stil appreciated as he was when he was 17 so, watching someone doing so and that one being Hua Cheng, blow his mind and heart.

Not gonna lie, I don't think what Hua Cheng did was crazy at all. Maybe excessive, but like, what more proof of his love do you need? If I knew that someone had loved me for 800 years, remembered everything about me, was with me through thick and thin, how could I not fall in love? Such loyalty and love
i love hua cheng's love for xie lian but man if i were xia lian i would be a little scared, the guy sculpted ten thousand statues of him, besides having followed him for 800 years, kinda psychotic huh
But whatever, I still love this couple and xie Lian loved everything he did in the end haha
@@AnaLaura-lufinha personally, i think it was because tgcf was about a god and his (immortal) believer that the whole watching and following xie lian from a distance and then waiting centuries for him felt almost normal and romantic even. if it was any other trope, i don’t think i would’ve been convinced. like imagine this but they’re modern day office workers or smth. then hua cheng would’ve caught a case. with tgcf it all kinda checked out. xie lian saved hua cheng’s life and made him a Religious Man, so him following and serving his god and creating 10,000 murals and sculptures of him while he gets slow cooked into an omnipotent demon king just to keep him safe when he finds him again 800 years later? yeah, i get it
@@AnaLaura-lufinha I thinkkkk one of the main reasons for Hua Cheng to become like that in the first place, was the scene where Xie Lian asked young Hua Cheng to make him the meaning of his life 🤔 It seems to me, that had quite the Impact on HC (aside from him already worshipping Dianxia that much) 😋
And I think thats extremely precious ;-; they both deserve each other so much
@@AnaLaura-lufinha instead of statues think of them as photos, like he took 10000 photos of every time/activity/facial expression just so he could always remember that moment
One of the things I adored when rereading this scene was that San Lang cares so damn much about Xie Lian. And it shows. And even though Feng Xin and Mu Qing were worried about all that ‘stuff’ happening, Xie Lian didn’t have a single worry because he was already head over heels in love with San Lang and had unwavering trust in him.
(And its not like San Lang would ever touch his Highness like that without explicit permission first, as we saw in their first cave encounter, and every time they’ve been next to eachother.)
“He’s suffered enough” Makes me so sad for Hua Cheng. He’s waited 800 years to be with Xie Lian. He’s finally gotten close enough to stand by his highness’ side and now he’s being asked to let that go. He has to choose between being selfish (in that moment, he believes XL may hate him) or letting go of his world.
I saw someone say they think Hua Cheng is a little creepy with his obsession but I think it fits perfectly of him being a ghost. Ghosts only stay here because they are attached to something they still have unfinished business, like He Xuan revenge or Xuan Ji with Pei Ming. And I think they are also stronger the bigger this obsession is. I like to think of it this way!

TGCF had some of the best plot twists ever. Like some of them I saw coming (spoilers ahead) like the significance of the necklace. But the reveal of all the statues being Xie Lian was amazing. Some of the scenes were truly jaw dropping insane. Especially all of the stuff with Hua Cheng being with Xie Lian for so long prior to his death and as a wisp. The reason why he carries around an umbrella, the reason behind Hua Cheng’s big fight in the heavens, jun wu, etc.
This was one of my fav scenes. Love this animation!
I adore Feng Xin bless his heart. I mean if you look in the outsider pov, Hua Cheng's obsession is kinda creepy. He is a scary demon to everyone else , so it's normal to think he have some shit motives to harm Dianxia just like White no face

True. To them, Huacheng has always been a powerful demon who just torments them for fun since they don't know why Huacheng hates them so much. They've always been convinced that Huacheng wanted to hurt him in some way until it became abundantly clear that he was just hanging around, though they could not understand why. After seeing the nsfw mural...it was only normal to assume maybe he wanted something horrible

Chapter 230 and something, i think 233? Or 234? So, they were talking about the incident where (in the past) Mu Qing deserted (from Xie Lian) and Xie Lian was having a very bad time, but he tried to train and found a cave really good for it, but some others gods didn't wanted him there ans started being hostile, and Mu Qing arrived.. Just to tell him to go away, and (in the present) in the mountain, those 2 started arguing about it (because we know that they are idiots that argue with everything they have, carving in the past if they nees to, to make the other suffer) and we know that Hua Cheng was present right there as a spirit (before becoming a demon king) so he was really angry about it aksns

I don't remember if it is mentioned but I think it was about when Mu qing and Feng xin leaved Xie lian after his banishment. And Hua Cheng goes mad 'cause he discovers that Feng Xin leaved just after Xie Lian has been tortured by White-no-Face. I am not sure of it it tho😅
It was mentioned during the battle vs junwu around 230-240ish, it was like "how did u know about the time that 33heavenly officials and muqing chased away xl?", "Did u forget that youre the ones shouting about it to each other last time in the mountain?" Something like that

It's a command talisman that Mu Qinq put on him. So Xie Lian can only move or do what Mu Qinq told him to. So when he tells him to run he runs even so he don't want to !

I genuinenly hated Hua Cheng this entire arc lol ngl Feng Xin and Mu Qing weren't in the wrong at all. Amazing animatic, love the art style!
The indifference HC gave off just gives me mixed and sour feelings. No one was in the wrong and HC just have too much power over 3 of them
Why hate him when he was the one who was always by his side 800 years ago and see him suffer many times with his own eyes when those 2 turn their back to Xie Lian and never return nor try to understand to state of Xie Lian was. He was willing to protect him with the cost of his life bc he was so devoted to him. Hua Cheng was in that cave for 10 years alone and was abt to become a supreme and very strong for only 1 person. Even Xie Lian has seen those statues of him etc he didn't seem disgusted bc his eyes literally lit up when Hua Cheng show up and literally want to tell to take off that cast spelling thing in his back while the other were being dramatic saying he already suffered enough. He didn't fking care of those 2 saying he just want to be Hua Cheng
