Some great additions to your collection, Dave. I'm impressed by the look and detail of two track bridge you got and the MTH Dreyfuss building. I hope you find a prominent place to enhance the look of your layout. Excellent choices!
Nice haul, for sure. The Pennsy express reefer is real cool and that bridge is also very nice. The Pennsy bus is pretty neat, too. My problem is with the MTH and other buildings and accessories. Most of them are just too large. We're not all Chris Montagna. I have a fairly good sized layout and I just can't place them where they won't take up too much space. Either way, you got some great stuff. An excellent video, as always.
Thanks! I plan on using a combination of scale and smaller than scale depending on the location and effect I’m going for, but yeah it would be hard to fit all scale sized structures.
@@dagryffynhobby I'm in the last stage of mock-up on my new layout. It's good sized, but I just can't justify using the big, MTH accessories. I'm building a small, 3x5 or so, second level for my Marx trains at the industrial end of the layout. I'll put Mel's Diner and a gas station in the middle of the loop. I think that will look cool and will only take up a small area of the layout. I'll run my 'fat' wheel Marx on it. Hopefully, I'll start posting videos, other than some on Instagram, soon enough. Keep up the great vids.
Four for four on the trip videos for sure Dave and I'm not surprised. You produce enjoyable films that are not only informative but are always a pleasure to watch. 👍👍👍👍 The bridge is super realistic in detail...what is it made from ? Thanks !
You got some great additions. The bus is cool, but so are all of the other items. Finding the dummy doodle bug dilemma is what helps to keep this hobby alive and thriving. Isn't collecting great? I've bought more dumny engines and sets this way, all because it starts with acquiring a single purchase and I still haven't caught on to what will ultimately happen until after the initial purchase. Maybe you could give the tunnel to Nick. He is looking to add a tunnel on his layout for the make over. He's probably in the process of tearing it down now.
I actually found the dummy at York but didn’t want to buy it, I probably should have. Oh well. I waited long enough and now Nick has built his own tunnel. That would have been great though! lol
That's a VERY good haul Dave! Let's take 'em in turn... So you got surprised by the color of the Pennsy express car? Don't feel bad, the same thing happened to me two weeks ago with a PRR passenger car I bought from Trainz. Not their fault, I ordered the car to flesh out a PRR heavyweight consist but I should have taken a better look at the on-line photo, it's a lighter shade of Tuscan red than the cars I've got. Ah, no biggie, I put it in the middle of the consist so it's "dark-dark-light-dark-dark." Looks just fine for a New York & Long Branch commuter train. That B&O "doodlebug" a good-looking piece of gear! Does it have a horn? With PS-1 that might be all you get. I've got an MTH NJ Transit PCC that's horn-only, I'd have to check the box to see if it's PS-1 but since I only paid $75 for it the lack of a bell doesn't bother me. The buildings and that bridge, wow! And that psychedelic tunnel is unique to say the least. I'd paint the whole thing white and shake on some glitter while the paint's wet. It'll make a nice snowy under the Christmas tree mountain. Fun video series, thanks for posting!
I haven’t run the doodlebug since I got it and I had intermittent running sounds out of it, once the layout is all back together, I’ll have to fiddle more with it. It is PS1. When I saw the tunnel, I thought white and under the tree, great minds

Sweet. I will have to try
I really enjoy your into and outro plus your great narrations. You have a great channel and your easy to listen to.
Thank you so much.
The bridge is the missing piece.
It is!

Nice bridge, it looks like one I would have bought.
Haha, thanks Joe. I think I found its home on the layout this weekend. It’s going to look amazing.
Very nice haul you got from the train stores.
Thanks!

I am watching your addiction grow more and more
Now Atlas
DAKMAN got me addicted to Atlas
lol yeah atlas is nice stuff but I’d still rather a $20 weaver car from a train show!

Tunnel >>> cats will play in them.
I’ve heard about that, I’m allergic so no cats for me.
Great video, Dave. Who makes the bridge?
Thanks. Not sure, I’ll have to find out
Great stuff Dave I have a stirofoam mountain that’s been sitting in my storage room for about 8 years now
Thanks. Wish I still had the one from my youth!
Fun video, and isn't half the fun the "Hunt" ? So a reason to visit stores & shows to find things like more "doodle bug" MTH dummys?
It is. There’s nothing like finding something by chance that you’ve been searching for.
