      It's wrong to say the first and the third sentences. The second is correct.
      Please learn more about active and passive voice. Also about transitive and intransitive verbs.

    • @EnglishwithVennila

      No. The bridge cannot build. We have to build it. When the bridge is the subject and the verb is 'build', we can only use the passive voice.

    Ma'am please explain me the eight one. Why don't use present perfect in 2nd gap. Present action is continued by the past.Because quieting his job, now he is a gardner. This is my doubt ma'am.

    • @EnglishwithVennila
      @EnglishwithVennila  ปีที่แล้ว

      No no, how can you use the present perfect here? He gave up his job. It's a single action in the past.

      Yes, it's right but the given verb is 'live'. So we frame the question as "How long have you lived there?"

      @@EnglishwithVennila 😁 Even now I can't convince myself, ma'am.. I thought, being late is the present effect of the action (my car broke down). So, I thought we should use the present perfect instead of the simple past.

      Why are you late?
      My car broke down on my way here.
      As 'on my way here ' acts as a specific time reference, we have to use the simple past here. Am I right ma'am?
