From Fort McMurray, with love. Westjet was there during the fires for this community, helped evacuate tens of thousands of residents that fled north on a deadend highway, and continue to be here for the community after. Thank you..

I know there will be one family especially grateful. They used their "East Coast Christmas" savings account to rebuild from the fire. I never knew their names, just their plan. I prayed for them. :D I love how each Christmas God uses West Jet to do his work!

I lived in waterways before the fire... when we opened that gift at the party and saw those tickets our whole family was crying of joy. FORT MAC STRONG!

It's things like this that really cement my preference for WestJet over Air Canada. They just get what makes people happy and do a really good job of that.
I was there cleaning and restoring schools, warehouses and restaurants, while it was going down. Good job for staying strong Fort Mac!

I was there through the fires. I was there when the camps owned by oil companies like Shell opened their doors to these people, absolutely anyone. No pet left behind, no child left unfed. Not one thing asked in return. It was amazing, Thankyou for letting me witness a real miracle.
People who have a hard time being kind can't fathom that this is kindness, they just don't know what it feels like or looks like. Everything is money and marketing for them. This is amazing, and we as humans need to finally accept this. Incredibly proud to be #AlbertaStrong

Residents of Fort Mac: I watched the tv in awe as you calmly waited in lines of cars, motorbikes, in buses, trucks and even on horses, to evacuate the town past enormous walls of fire. When I flew to the UK, one week later, my family and friends could not stop asking and talking about how amazing you all were.
I met some of you shopping to replace your underwear in lingerie stores in Cross Iron Mills, Calgary and was humbled by your lack of complaining. When I returned home I had a new appreciation for my favourite clothes and underwear.
You have set a very high bar for Albertans to reach in terms of coping in a disaster.

I know this company, I have watch WestJet grow over the years as I have been a loyal WestJetter passenger since 1997. My first flight was from Calgary to Vancouver & was a very proud moment for me as I was flying on a Calgary companies jet, WestJet and many other destinations since. Alway a great atmosphere do to the awesome people that are the true WestJetters. The people and culture of WestJet is second to none always. The only thing i want for Christmas, is to become a Westjetter myself. I've always loved the airline, but around the holidays westjet has always made my Christmas by helping out in the communities all over the world. I just want to be part of the winning team. I live in Ontario and this is only one of the many reasons I fly no other airline on my trips with my Teacup Yorkie in cabin always on my many trips west. Westjet staff is wonderful 365 days a year. West jet is honestly (in my opinion) the best airline company and i will always flight with you guys. Ive been constantly mistreated my air Canada but west jet has been super helpful and always there for me as a customer. They helped evacuate Families and their animal from the Fort Mac forest fires and now this... You guys rock, keep doing what you're doing.

As someone who went through this through May and June (I live in Fort Mac) I can honestly say this touched my heart. Me and my family were lucky enough to live where the fire barely touched but many of my friends still have no home to go back to. I read a lot of these comments and it's nice to hear that so many people support the rebuild. I am proud to say I'm Canadian. Stay resilient Fort Mac ❤️

As an avid traveler and writer when I saw this it touched my heart so deeply that so many people that had lost their homes and belongings yet there was still that miracle of Christmas hope that gathered the many that came from that city with West jets help . When I see this kind of joyous care and holiday spirit it makes my heart care more about those that had lost so much from this town that was able to get alive .
That this one of the most beautiful christmas gifts that West Jet has given to the town so that hope was never forgotten and that the sprit of Christmas could be shared with the many that greeted those that were at the Christmas Celebration . When you have a caring airline that saw so many people that had lost their homes they wanted to create that special holiday night for one and all .

I live in edmonton where some of my friends let some affected people stay for a few days, we donated stuff to help. When the fire was happening you could sometimes see a little bit of smoke in edmonton i am so happy they helped them ❤️ FORT MC STRONG

This made me cry so much omfg. I'm so proud that Fort McMurray is still strong after what happend. My school had a fundraiser for them just my class and we raised around $2000 all together! Proud to be Canadian!
