Some points of interest for your viewers... I have the ~$34 10amp/12volt w/BT version of the Bateria on two 100w panels and it works beautifully. It's limited to passing just 150w to the battery so it would actually be the choice for that box as you have it now. For reference... the ~$80 20amp/12&24volt model specs at max 300w @12v and 600w in 24v mode.
Subscribed! I was hoping you would compare the bateria vs victron to see if they both extract the same watts from panel. You’ve inspired me, I also made an Apache cased 100ah just using the cells and bms no case. Also two 65w PD, 12v car socket and sae input for bateria charge controller 👍
thanks! A video comparing the two is on the list - we have turned into winter though with low temps, strong winds, clouds and overcast. If I can get a good day, I will hook a panel to each controller and see what happens. Your set up sounds interesting. I have seen others strip the case to get it even smaller - which seems like a good idea. Kind of like taking a coat off once you get in the house - don't really need it....
