I bought a new carb made by Hipa. I replaced the carb, plug, fuel filter and breather thing, gaskets, and new canned fuel. I kept the old lines and grommet, but snipped off the aforementioned items and put them on. So a complete rebuild. Wont fire up. I have no idea what could be wrong.
Do you have spark? Compression? Pull the muffler. Is piston wet or dry. If wet blow dry while open with air. Is there lines cut in the piston or is it shiney. Not perfectly clean and shiny its a bad motor.
My FUEL line was broken and not seen till I pulled it out. Best check and replace if you see what I saw.
at 10:07 you mentioned an rpm adjustment. Is it the gold screw you adjust? Or the silver screw that is holding on the primer bulb?
gold. be careful super sensitive. and its the high fuel air mixture screw.

between the air filter and the carb
I have the same HC-150 in your video. It cranks but will not idle, cuts off when not cutting. I'm assuming it's the carburetor? My trimmer has to be 15 years old.
it sounds like the carb. it will run like new with a new carb and fuel lines.
