Hello, everyone! If you've been following my channel, you'll know that on November 2nd I took my PLAB 1, the first of two exams I need to take to get my medical license in the UK. I received my results back in December and thankfully, they were positive! So, I wanted to share this video with you to explain what was my approach to the exam and also do a real review on the platform I used to study: PLABABLE. My name is Shafick, I am 26 years old and I am a General Physician graduated from the National Autonomous University of Honduras. I am currently working at Hospital Loma de Luz, a missionary hospital, in Balfate, Colón. I make videos about medicine, travel, music and more. Hi, thanks for all the information you provide in your videos. I’m about to start my Plab 1 preparation, I think I’ll start with PLABABLE following your advice. I am a Latin American doctor as you, you’ve inspired me.
Thanks so much Shafick for giving this kind of info in regards of the PLAB preparation, overall for all the ones in the region that have less exposure to the British processes in Medical Residenships in UK. I'd like to get this 3 months subscription to have a right or better approach for PLAB1 exam since I feel is way different than in LA in many ways. I know that it would be a great tool to succeed in the exam and I know that I'll take take advantange of it hugely!

First of all thank you Shafick for all of the valuable information.I ve been investigating about all of the platforms for plan 1 and I honestly think plabable is Superior and the best. I am not used to do questions or tests like the ones they do on uk because here in my country it’s very different.So I will be really happy to win a subscription to plabable.
Hello doctor, I am currently waiting to begin my internship year and I´ve been considering my future. One of the paths I have decided to pursue is taking the PLABs in the UK. I came across your channel and was inspired by seeing a fellow Central American on this path. In order to achieve my goals, I believe that preparing with Plabable will provide me with the best opportunity to pass the PLABs since it has great content and really intelligible materials.

Hi Shafick, Knowing there is a tried and tested tool like PLABABLE to guide my medical preparation is quite a relief, especially when my time and resources are limited. By using PLABABLE, I would be able to identify my weaknesses and work on them specifically. You cannot improve what you don’t measure; I believe that to be true. I love the idea of getting familiar with the test itself; this would help me approach the questions and improve my time management. What is most remarkable to me is the ability to customize my study plan as you go. Having UK-based medical experts share their knowledge combined with the big mock-ups could give me the edge I need to excel in the PLAB. I appreciate what you are doing. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello Doctor, Thank you for guiding us through ….I m doing my internship and yes its difficult to prepare with a full time job but plabable gems are real 💎 as you can read them anytime you want and you will get a quick and crisp revision of the topic, and subsequently solving questions on that topic ace your preparation… Instead of studying from big books which take so much time to finish, plabable is the perfect source with all the necessary guidelines to prepare for Plab 1 .

Hi Shafick! Im Mercy, from Kenya. And I'm so glad to have come across your video because the information on how to go about the exam is overwhelming. I am currently doing my internship and because it is very difficult to get a job here after internship, I am trying to go abroad. I need to be able to support my retired parents. The cost of the preparation materials is very high, coupled with the cost of the exams as well. Why did you choose UK, and what were the pros of starting just working, instead of getting into a residency program?
What I really liked about the UK was that in terms of medical education, it had a very standardized system across all its hospitals. And as far as I know, they also have a lot of work life balance for the residents. I started working instead of applying directly to a residency program here in the country, because I wanted to gain more clinical exposure, and I wanted to start saving money to apply for my residency itself. I did not consider applying to a residency locally, but if things don’t go as planned with the UK, I will definitely be happy to study here in Honduras.
