For ROB’s down taunt, it’s an actual reference from Mario Kart DS when he gets 1st place in a race. I think it should’ve been 9/10
Pjiggs, you might have forgotten the most important part: being a taunt. I mean, Zelda's waving is an INCREDIBLE taunt because it's sassy as all frick. Same with DK's shrug and Peach's singing. Those are 9/10 easy imo because of how much they tilt your opponent. As cool as Wolf's howl is, it doesn't really "taunt" your opponent. Falcon's "Show me your moves" is so amazing because it represents him well AND it works as a great taunt.

20:35 This is a very unfortunate case of localization not working. In Japanese he says something completely different: “穏やかじゃないですね” (literally: It is not calm; in certain context: That doesn’t sound like a peaceful situation) which he often says in the original game (in text dialogue) when he receives side quests. It is considered to be one of his iconic lines in Japan, and the fact that it was voiced for the first time in Smash was amazing. The animation is designed for it, and it also makes sense in a hectic Smash battle. I’m disappointed that this taunt makes little sense in the English version.

I gotta be entirely honest, I don't think the actual taunt from today is that bad. I actually like it since I'm a fan of Roger Craig Smith's performance. Yes, Brawls version is better cause it's original, but I don't think the current is terrible. What I don't like is that they literally carbon copy his voice lines from Generations and put it in Smash for no reason. I don't understand why they couldn't get Roger to have new voiceover in Ultimate, since they did it with Jason Griffith in Brawl. Sonic just cant catch a break... Damn it Sakurai... (Still love you Sakurai.)

For Greninja’s down taunt, he says 8/10. However, the score shows 10/10.
Mr. Game & Watch's bell is literally one of the main things that the character has to offer though, it was one of the things the Game & Watch was marketed for, I don't see how it is boring. It's also a good taunt to annoy the opponent, especially since you can cancel it into itself in this game.

I do agree with the sonic one...they ruined my boy. More salty about how weak sounding his final smash quote is too. "Now I'll show you!....HraaaAAHHHH" Was so bad ass....i loved when i got it and made me feel cool. But like how they nerfed his FS, they nerfed the presentation too. 0/10
Man, Game & Watch's bells deserved better than what they got. Sure, I can _kinda_ understand the thing about them being too similar but he's literally ringing a bell at you. That's like the most fitting a taunt can be! Not to mention his own point about how much the audio of a taunt can matter.

I think with mega man's down taunt, it may be similar to his battle entrance as a nod to how, at least in the older games (I haven't played any of the new ones so I can't say), he would have the same animation both when entering a stage and after swapping weapons or resuming the game after pausing. Just a guess, but I cant think of any other reasons other than it looks cool

My biggest disagreement is how Pikachu's uptaunt only gets a 7/10 while Fox's uptaunt got a 9/10. Pikachu's is almost the exact same, only with Pikachu his taunt makes more sense as electricity is his iconic ability from his series while the Fox Fire is a Smash original thing. I know that a lot of stuff like this is opinion based, but the complete lack of objectiveness in his rankings from so early on makes the entire video hard to watch.
i have to agree, my opinions were the same as almost nothing on this list. the only thing that really angered me though was Pit’s “that all you got?” being rated a 6. In my opinion its genuinely one of the best taunts in Smash.

It would’ve been cool if you mentioned some of the taunts have invincibility frames or the ones that can make you completely dodge attacks.
