      I need help. I can't find the node file I saved

    The curve modifier on the front of your hat is wild.

    Man, that was so helpful! I was missing the key step of adding the group and I couldn't figure out why the node setup wasn't appearing in my shader editor! You're a life-saver brother. Thank you for putting this out there!

    Thank you so much . The only useful tutorial. Something more difficult than the import of shading nodes I have not seen ...

    I know, I know, I cannot complain, because free great software and all (and it is) but I am sorry, I do not think this is easy. I think the next features in Blender should be: export any node set as a file that can be imported into another project AND export your preferences and add-on's to a file to be imported in the latest version of Blender.
    My workaround so far: I changed the default loaded file so it contains node sets for several materials and the world directly at startup, so every new project now has at least some nodes set up.

    Blender comes with an addon to have a folder contain base file or files with node groups. That way you can make a library. Only thing is adding new groups is a bit of a hustle. I'm going to try to expand that addon and make the workflow easier. Hope I will succeed

    There is a Node Presets addon build in to blender, cool if you would cover that one. Thanks for the vid

      Lol - that's a long way from this kind of tutorial - probably a little outside my current area of expertise

    You could just append world settings same way as append node group

  • @eddiepersa1752
    @eddiepersa1752 ปีที่แล้ว

    One question, what if in the future I don`t remember in which .blend file I have saved the node group I need, how can I find it again to append to a new file ? isnt this method a little complicated ? Thanks !

    My node appears but the node doesn't show the shader green dot to connect to the world node

  • @daemeonation3018
    @daemeonation3018 ปีที่แล้ว

    Alright. I hate to even ask for help. When I try to append like in the video, I get an error that says that the file is not a library. Because when I double click on it, I never see the folder list with nodetrees and all of that.

    How about this...? Select all Nodes. Click Save Node Group to folder. Open New Project. Apply Node Group to Project.
    I know this seems very difficult but I seem to do this process for......EVERYTHING ELSE! Why this ridiculous 10 step process just to save a node tree? It's Blender. One of the most powerful programs on earth and they can't figure out how to simply save a node group to a folder?!
