What a way to start a story
I mean this isnt too far fetched from the Real Twilight. Shes always on edge and constantly stressed out in the show. She rarely gets time to herself when thiers not a world ending threat thiers her stressing over being arranged and in order. Shes like a perfectionest in a way. Dont forget she kinda went insane with the CMC's in one episode. Whos to say thier wont be a day when she just snaps and cant take this stress anymore?

I can just see Princess Celestia shaking her head at the first few letters...and shaking her head turns into shaking entirely...shaking entirely turns into fear...fear turning into panic...panic turns to nightmares...and nightmares into a horrible reality.
A reality in witch her 'faithful student' is now a paranoid psychopathic monster, who kills for 'science'. And now the Princess must end her student's torment, once and for all. You can only imagine how the Celestia feels on the receiving end of this.

The worst part of this is that there are people out there who killed the first time from curiosity or kill for the exhilaration. Twilight already had her answer.
I can never get enough of Kagome's Twilight voice. She doesn't sound like Tara, but it doesn't seem like she's trying to sound like Tara, and I love that.

This is proof that Twilight is TWISTED. I understand she wants to know what it's like to kill, but there are less extreme methods, like TALK TO A RECENT KILLER.

night pony that is true, but apparently twilight was hung at the end, which I do think was a little extreme. Even though she is my least favorite character, she didn't deserve that because she only did it out of curiosity.

Thought this would be an "edgy serial killer with no remorse or psychological side effects" story. Was positively surprised. Good reading too.

Great.... Twilights a murderer, Pinkie Pies insane, Rainbow Dash is a rocket to insanity, Apple jack will bake you into pie like pinkie, Fluttershy is creepy and demented, and rarity wants to makes dresses.... with your flesh. Man if I could get all these animated (which might be a good side project when um into animation with my art) I think it would be fascinating....
and the crusaders are there assistants and spike moved to back to canterlot

seems like since "cupcakes" every grimdark that involves the mane 6 has them turning on eachother,this had only snipits of that and was a natural conclusion for Twilight's slow decent into madness,nicely done

she never sent the letters
puppyhowler Twilight was evicted, Celestia is reading the letters in the end and it mentioned she couldn't get the image of Twilight being executed from her head.
When the letters were found they would have been a huge amount of evidence even if she hadn't exposed her self. And for some reason she kept the letters instead of burning them. So she knew that if she committed the crime she would eventually commit and kept the letters to her self it would ether be incriminating evidence and a good record of what not to become a psychopath or the ramblings of a mad pony. So she knew what the letters would do and kept writing them on purpose so she could probably keep them to herself. So in the end she knew it could be the end of her if she kept writing and she did it anyway. So she knew that she was digging her own grave and she eventually did. The way my comment comes into play was that I was saying what course of action she should have taken and I was representing that by using Twilight to act as if was writing it herself. And if you made it this there is cookies and punch by the door.

About 70% sure Scribbler is a changeling. Mostly from the voices (nopony does that many so well). That and she is so well loved. Great story by the way, is it wrong that I enjoyed this as much as I did O:-)

Wow, this has a similar Gothic horror feel to Poe's "The Telltale Heart" Good work, author! And good work, reader, you gave Twilight the right almost bland, almost regretful tone that was just right for the reading. Thanks!
Holy shit this was intense...I have to wonder if the writer of this fic has had similar thoughts and urges. It just seemed to real to be entirely made up. Still though, this was beautifully done. Spot on voice acting and chilling narration. 10 out of 10!

It is hard to listen to the "tape" of subject no. 1's death. It feels sickening, and those screams…
I think most of us have wondered, "What is it like to kill another living thing?" Most of us don't do it, I hope, simply because the actually thought is intriguing but when we actually start thinking about possibly doing it we feel sickened by the thought. Some don't commit the act under threat of incarceration.
Personally I feel like crap for lying to a friend or having a spider killed because of my phobia. If I were to kill another person, I don't think I'd be able to continue on with anything after the fact.
I was honestly flinching and shuddering through this reading. And I'm not even done yet.
I must say fantastic; truly one of the best readings ever. The story itself is only part of the actual emotion this fic represents, you filled the rest with an exceptionally stellar performance. You perfectly captured all that she was feeling; despair, fear & helplessness, that a killer in the shoes (or, better, hooves) of Twilight would feel if they were truly scared of themselves. I've been listening to other readings for several different grimdark/gore pony fics but by far you defiantly have done the best.
Please give yourself a pat on the back, I hope you actually become a voice actor (as your channel states), I'm sure you will do a fantastic job.

well, brony writer knows the ins and outs of a serial killer, they are mostly of high intelligence, first they experiment, for a while they are caught in conflict with their emotions until they feel the confidence to kill again and then we all know what happens from there.

honestly... I didn't like this. Not because it was a bad reading, but because it was too WELL read. the recording part alone kept me up until 4 in the fucking morning, I was so disturbed! Scribbler scares me with how painfully real those screams sounded...

Anyone else than me that's ALMOST as curious as twilight about how it feels to kill someone? Like seriously just think about it for a second. No-one likes to talk about it and almost everyone finds it realy disturbing that someone would even consider it, and no-one who has actouly done it has writen it down so people would atleast know what it could feel like so their curiousity wouldn't turn into NEED of killing someone just to know what it feels like. Or maybe it's just me who has been on the internet for too long and had gotten weird and half insane for the lack of sleep and the stress i'm experiencing at the moment :l
