- Here we are, my favorite time of year: the Month of Macabre.~ At last, I present to you a project I've been planning since March - Silent Ponyville. Each Friday this month, I will be releasing a chapter from the main story. Get ready; this one's gonna be a doozy.
Also to note, this story was written and takes place between the events of Seasons 1 & 2.

the feels hit me when pinkie said "pinkie swear?" and twilight said "cross my heart hope to fly stick a cupcake in my eye." that was well done I truely love your stories and your voice and dramatic reading
The author was a big fan of Silent Hill, because they did a good job with the story, and making it feel like Silent Hill as possible, while making it seem like My Little Pony as well
God damn it, this voice acting is too good. Pinkie crying about Twilight seeing her horrible dreams punched me way too hard in the feels. On all other ends, the quality of this work is just wonderful. It really shows that a great deal of care was put into one of my favorite fics of all time. I can't wait to hear the rest~!

The start reminded me of a reversed version of Rocket to Insanity, with Pinkie having nightmares of Cupcakes instead of Rainbow Dash.

This reminds me a lot of "Rocket to Insanity" and "Nigeb." But something I really like about this story is that unlike Rainbow Dash in "Rocket to Insanity" Pinkie tries to get help for her nightmares. If Rainbow had done this, the tragedy at the end could have been avoided.
Poor Pinkie.. But The Voice Acting was AMAZING! 10/10 well done! I generally felt scared and sad at the same time!
Thank you so much for this reading. It gave a lot more emotion to the story. This just became my new favorite fanfiction.

Its been YEARS since I last listened to these grim tales. And I'm only just realizing how much season one for pinky is like bird box and a quiet place all in one scary psyche hell...and man is it still good to this day!
I remember listening to this when I was 11. I've always had it in the back of my mind, since I don't think I ever finished it. Finally got the urge to revisit (at 3am lol) and I'm so happy I did. Just this first episode brought back strong memories. Can't wait to finish this time, 6 years later!

The second one was probably based off of "Butterflies." Which, I believe is supposed the be the Fluttershy version of "Cupcakes."

from the intro,i was literally freaked out because i heard screams,and i heard rainbow screaming so hard that i actually almost cried,i can only imagine the nightmares that pinkie has,ughhh thats terrifying
I would tell people not to read this story themselves. Instead they should listen to this. Hearing the title or the concept would make a normal person scoff.. but as soon as you hear the amount of love put into this you're drawn into it and want to know more. This series is what made me give grimdark fanfiction a chance. Well, a Fallout Equestria reading started it and this sealed the deal. Thank you, GuituSerenade, you made me appreciate more genres.

I liked Mlp back then, and I am also a very big horror game fan, especially Silent Hill. As soon as I found out there is a cross over between those two subjects, I was like "Hell yes."
I also love that they have the original Silent hill music tracks from the games. I love this

This is pretty good so far. The voice overs and narration are well done.

i stumbled upon this reading last year but unfortunately i didn't pay much attention to it since i was burnt out from reading too many fanfics in a row.
Only now after being more familiar with this fandom and having seen Scribblers latest podcast did i realize the cignificens of this fanfic. hence why i’ve returnd to go deeper into the mist

This is a nice story but the fact that this was written in 2011 really shows. Octavia being Pinkie's sister, Anathema. And where is Luna in all this, oh wait it wouldn't have been established that she can enter a ponies dreams.
