i always write my PMT formulas like this -pmt(rate,nper,pv) ....to force it positive. vs =pmt(rate,nper,-pv) In other words, change the equals sign to a neg at the start. Nice video. I'm using it for a pricing sheet for buying house. I can look down one column for expected rents, and the top row is price of property. Where they meet is how much cash flow I would get. I used formulas before, but now, after your video I use a data table. Thanks!
Thats a cool application! But keeping it without the negative, will tell you whether money goes out of you.. or comes to you.... So +ve would mean money comes to you... If not money goes out of you...
That was an amazing video. I used so many formulas for this simple stuff just by not knowing the feature. Excellent explanation of the steps. Thanks a ton sir
Thanks Chris!! Your video help my class run successfully! I was confused by the data table but by watching your video I learned why I should do those steps. Your tutorial is very clear!! Thanks again

Also when I changed the number in the top left corner in the system the data table doesnt update by itself and even if I press F9 or try to refresh the data it doent work (also I checked in Options that Refreshment for data table is on).. do you know the mistake? Thanks in advance!!

You should upload your finished worksheets as an open drop box link or something when you're done.
Good point. I'll start doing that.
Thank you Chris, You have nailed it again but whatever happened to Lotus 123 that had tools like this built in?
Yes, never mind, I know, it went to the Blue yonder where all good programs go.
How did you get your numbers to autofill like that mine had a different set of values even though i followed the exact same steps
