    the most surreal part is how quiet it is in the woods. I bet the deers are confused.

    Man incompletely enjoy watching this video. Kudos to Brian and you Kyle. It was great to see a Model Y driving like this. I look forward in getting ours in the Spring.

    6:46 That proves that design flaw of the protruding hatch that people were afraid of before Tesla started deliveries. Having to repair the whole hatch instead of just a bumper.

      Yeah, but you do get backup sensors. For off-roading they should probably add some bumper guards.

      @@T1Oracle seen it done in UAE with the Y62 patrols they just cut the rear bumper and but in a steal rear bar with the sensors in the bar looks really cool too and is practical. only thing is the y62 has a ladder frame and these cars don't.

    It did nearly as well as my 1st-generation Forester used to do on logging trails. Except MUCH quieter! Good stuff!

    Its such a fantastic idea by Brian to lift his Model Y. I recently started to watch Livestyle Overland here on youtube with their 4Runner. They need a propane heater when it gets cold. Don't get me wrong, i thing there vehicle is amazing. But under consideration of the environment and comfort, a lifted Model Y does make a lot of sense.

    Love what you've done. I live in the High Sierra's (Tahoe) and want the Y to be better equipped for a big winter. First issue is... it's too low. What's needed is more clearance - as opposed to a body lift. The only way to gain clearance (won't high center as easily) is taller wheels / tires Did you change the rims to larger than stock? Second issue is traction in deep snow... I'd like to put some BFG T/A All Terrains on it - tall ones - "pizza cutters". haha. Don't know what I can get away with without modifying the wheel wells. I'll be watching to see what you come up with next - keep up the good work! ))

    Im dying to see someone put the LSD's that Unplugged Performance sells into something like this. It would be a game changer. I have a 23 Model Y Performance coming, but I won't be doing anything like this any time soon. 😂

  • @0hypnotoad0
    @0hypnotoad0 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Its a cool project, but at the Y performance pricepoint, its almost worth just waiting for the cybertruck. Price difference between Model Y performance and Tri Motor CT is basically negligible, especially considering how much more capable and durable the truck is.

    That's a lift? Silly to watch the tires spin so much. Maybe add some proper A/T tires on slightly smaller rims to see what kind of traction you can give it.

    If Tesla bring the Cyber truck with it's cold rolled steel to the market, its buyers will not worry about dents while off-roading. The trees, bushes and stones will be the ones to worry.

    It was scary crazy fun watching and super high risk for your vehicle! You were lucky to only have a damaged liftgate and trim separation. You almost body-checked the tree going over the flimsy bridge and beached yourself several times. Please don't abuse such a precious vehicle anymore. I get that you want to do unique videos but the Model Y isn't designed for this.
