    Hey guys, the locations of all the houses in this video are public domain information which is listed in almost all the Nirvana biographies: Two of the houses are vacant, the three houses I entered I had permission from the homeowners to do so & the park directly across the lake Washington residence is a big tourist attraction in Seattle. I'm just mentioning this because I want to make it very clear I would never encroach on someone’s privacy. Thanks for watching, make sure to subscribe / check out 'Rock is Dead?' Have you ever heard about Kurt's Cabin in the Woods? I heard Courtney had a cabin over own, more upscale though... I heard Kurt had a cabin of his own that was real ramshackle Style... I'd love to know where that was???

      Hey Daniel, great videos. I love them. I did a Seattle tour myself, even snuck into Layne Staley’s condo building, went up the elevator & posed by his door. Spooky as hell, the elevator was jumping the whole time.
      I also went to Kurt’s Lake Washington place, took the stairs (to the left of the park) up to the road above the home. I looked down and could see exactly where the greenhouse was, & all those photos of that day in my mind’s eye. Very powerful & spooky stuff. I also took a giant piece of bark off that tree behind the bench, of Viretta Park, it’s in my music room. Incredible experiences in Seattle. Thanks again, & great job on ALL the vids & interviews.

      He didn't like fancy stuff and all, and since those hotelrooms were a little bit gloomy, but they did perhaps remind him of old times. I think today people who are famous and very rich seem to be incredibly detached from the people themselves. Environments that suit a person like Kurt perhaps gave him inspiration as well.

      Agreed 100%, unfortunately a lot of people who are very famous are very much detached from reality, it’s not healthy for anyone. I think your right that Kurt was attracted to these types of “normal” places so to speak because it was a way to detach from the world of celebrity.

    It’s probably weird how fascinated I am by a man I never met, but touched by his music to the point that I have watched way too many videos on things related to him such as people visiting his homes while also thinking that Kurt probably wouldn’t want so many people to dig into his life like that. Rest in paradise, Kurt

    • @k_ir3868
      @k_ir3868 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is something I thought about when I watched montage of heck. They showed so much really personal stuff of him like all the video footage of him as a child and childhood paintings.. Im not sure hed be down with that. Imagine millions of people look at the paintings you have drawn as a little child. Its a bit surreal and im not sure it's something we should do. Its like there is nothing in his life that is private anymore.

I also read that Dave even ironed Kurt's clothes to help him. You see, Kurt was kind of helpless in everyday life, as many geniuses are. Nobody ever talks about the Lakeside Ave house Kurt & Courtney rented for most of 1993. This was the first house they had together in Seattle after Frances was born. Michael Dewitt and Rene Navarrette lived there with the Cobain’s in 93 as well.

      Besides his daughter I wonder who the true love of his life? I think he really did love Courtney at one time. In one of his interviews he was so happy about finding LOVE and becoming a dad this is 1993. Then later on his marriage no denying went off the rails. Everthing went dark for him. I will wonder always wonder when things started looking on the downhill side. Gone too soon.

    When Gary Cobain mentions how Kurt broke his arm, I instantly think of the Reading Festival interview where he's pretending to have a broken arm. When he snaps to and remembers he was supposed to play it up, his face gets so serious... I wonder if he recalled that childhood moment to lean into the act.
