My father sadly passed away last week and this song has always been on repeat every time I go to his house and I’m glad to say this song reminded me of him.❤ Please stay close to your loved ones and keep them by ur side no matter what.
I can't decide what is more "1999" about this video... that silk, button up flame shirt the guitarist is wearing.. or bassist using the 20 foot long guitar strap! LMAO
Been what? 21 years? I turned 17 just hours after this show, left quite the impression. I saw 7dust in total around 5 times. Every show was high performance, high energy.
Look up who they dedicated it to ...that was an artist that changed most of the artists at Oz fest that got to know them . Long story short one artist that was going to be the biggest radio play activist ever got killed off ... The rest of the artists took it personal and their music changed after Lynn... Sevendust started never not playing angel's son which was their dealing with James death ...every set every time . James got too close to a nerve before was famous enough to be safe , but his death pushed many to go just a little bit harder . Edit ... I'm drunk and that filter is off ...but it's true look up James and snot , the bands that got close in oz fest ...they snuffed one flame but it blew on many more flames to go harder .
This right here defines my teenage years. It brings me back so hard to listen to this song and see this performance from back in the 90s. My favorite era musically.
A few years later they would have to say goodbye to another friend being Chi Cheng, Sevendust, has had to say goodbye to a lot of friends haven’t they. Also this is a great live version of Denial.
I saw Sevendust open for Metallica about a year after this concert. They were amazing and the guitarists were jumping up and down on these mini trampolines it was so awesome.
My parents listened to these guys a lot when I was very young, and just recently with their 2 latest albums. I forgot how good they are and I’ve even been learning some of their stuff on guitar. So good 👌👌👌
I got to see them live around this time and holy shit that bass was insane. It shakes the seats! You can hear it on the albums as well but live it was a beast 😈
Lmao I never forget when a crack head put me on this song while I was walking to school 💀💀 bless that dude a/o Lajon Witherspoon animosity motivating asf
s33dless1134 aww dude am sorry, yea that has happened to me sooo many times in the past, I got sick and tired and just deleted a whole bunch of so called friends and got my shit together. Good news is trivium and sevendust will not stop making music any time soon. Peace :0)
I miss the 90's. A black man can be a superhero singer or a television star, or a Federation Captain and noone felt a damn thing about it. It was just normal.
Shame the intro (when it all kicks in) hasn't been recorded very well, sounds very flat here (sure it wasn't for crowd) it's an absolute howitzer cannon going off in the ears!!!
The greatest African American Metal singer I've heard... unless there are others I need to see.
+Kobra Ortiz HED PE
Definitely up there with Dug Pinnick, Corey Glover, Byron Davis, etc.
+Kobra Ortiz Howard Jones!
+Kobra Ortiz Howard Jones Killswitch
+Kobra Ortiz go dforbid is all black guys but to me race don't mean nothing its all good if the music is good is rocks
that chorus is so powerful
Your rite that wind just blew in to remind me im not lmfao
It is. It's been a favorite of mine for a long time. Awesome memories.

Sorry for your loss, maybe you would like "Angels Son" by them also.
Lajon's an amazing singer and cool dude. Period.
John Kravitz fuck off
Met him through my bro. Of mine in the music industry. You are dead on one cool dude.
@@clintlgriffin wdym by you're dead on one cool dude? he's shitty?

What about that drummer?
@@sonikku956 omg his fucking shorts LMAO

One of the most underrated bands in the world.
I was born a month before this. Wish I saw the 90s as a teen. Jealous lol

Sevendust is one of the greatest bands ever I got to see them live a few weeks ago amazing show they havent aged at all
Seeing them for the 1st time this Sunday 🤘🏼
This is a band that has great stage presence together. Not many bands have that.
I still love this song and this is the first time seeing it live at Woodstock. God 1999 was just an epic year, badass. Sevendust is so underrated.
This right here defines my teenage years. It brings me back so hard to listen to this song and see this performance from back in the 90s. My favorite era musically.
Sevendust is one of the greatest heavy metal bands ! Period ! Met some of them in the ATL years ago.
He is my neighbor.... I chill with him all the time... Very cool dude
90s were a great decade for rock.
Guy Fieri lost the weight and joined Sevendust. Dang... inspirational.
his favorite song is Waffle.
Lynn Straight R.I.P. him and his dog was takin from us way too early. Angels Son is another tribute to Straight. It's worth a listen.
Lajon sounds angry as fuck in this version and I love it.
They sound insanely good live
One of the best bands I’ve ever seen live. Facts.
A few years later they would have to say goodbye to another friend being Chi Cheng, Sevendust, has had to say goodbye to a lot of friends haven’t they. Also this is a great live version of Denial.
Pretty sure the dictionary definition for the 1990's is: "Sevendust's performance at Woodstock 99."
NOOOOO WATCH KORNS
You know early 90s is different from late 90s.
Morgan one of the best metal drummers to ever do it.
I loved this band in my 20's and it is unbelievable they are still going at it! Might check them out again if tey're in town!
I wanna learn denial on guitar so much, what a song
I saw Sevendust open for Metallica about a year after this concert. They were amazing and the guitarists were jumping up and down on these mini trampolines it was so awesome.
I love how they dedicated this song to Lynn Strait!
One of the many bands that tried to ride this way of new metal. One of the few that actually excelled at it
I love that riff from 0:58 to 1:20
oriental vibes, it was used in so many nu metal songs,
drowning pool sinner/korn/No one...
but i never seen anyone mentioning that
It's such a late 90's early 2000s vibe
@@mankuro yes, it's cool
It’s my favorite
that's what i call soul my friend. peace!
Great song and one of the more underrated bands of the late 90's.
Nu-Metal's heyday.
Lajon is a beautiful man
That’s one hell of a voice.
this chorus alone puts this song in my top 10 bro
The 90's where the shit!!
if timemachines ever were invented, this is one of the first places i would visit.
Lajon looked kinda nervous here, he was very excited!
He was having fun!
Morgan Rose is a beast. such an underrated drummer. Anyone know if he's related to Axl btw?
No axl rose is a stage name
Axl Rose isn't his real name
Axl Rose is Bill Bailey
No
His wife is tbe bassist of coal chamber
My parents listened to these guys a lot when I was very young, and just recently with their 2 latest albums. I forgot how good they are and I’ve even been learning some of their stuff on guitar. So good 👌👌👌

4:43 what the fuck was that guitar at the end... oh my god that was incredible
In rock and metal there is no black or white in metal we are just metal heads
Band is absolutely f*cking Dope. Bonecruching sound with some passion and soul woven in. One of my all time favorites!!!
R.I.P Lynn I love how they dedicated the song to Lynn Sevendust has arrived
I got to see them live around this time and holy shit that bass was insane. It shakes the seats! You can hear it on the albums as well but live it was a beast 😈

Badassery love it
The last Woodstock 🥺
I had no idea they came out of the 90's. This was revolutionary metal back then. This was even heavy back in the late 2000's
Man i born a year later and i wish i was there in that concert😢
I will NOT reminisce about people jamming and actually watching the show, and not standing there playing on, or recording with, their phones.
Right. I fucking HATE phones. Watch the show with your eyes and ears people!!!
please don't it's as tired as most underated

This is definitely the 90s, look at the crowd going wild. Lajon's voice and Sevendust as a whole had them hypnotized.😂😂😂
