EASY Deathsquito Defense And Farming 🤯 Valheim

- Deathsquitos can make farming and building in the Plains so difficult. Here's a quick tip on building a structure that WILL protect you from Deathsquitos, and also serve as a nice needle farming method! I find nothing more annoying in Valheim than Deathsquitos, so use this advanced tip to make them a little less annoying! If you'd like a full guide on building in the plains, throw a like on the birdchest and let me know down in the comments!

I just hit Squitoes with... well, anything really. A rusty spoon will do. Maybe I'm missing something but they're nothing more than a mild annoyance for me. I don't build my base in Plains. I just build a farm walled with stone three tiles high, connected to my main Meadows base with a portal. The walls keep everything out except Squitoes. But if I'm planting or harvesting and one flies over the wall and zaps me, I just swat it like a fly on the second pass. I doubt I take more than 20 damage from them when I have Silver or Padded armour. If I'm roaming in Plains and I hear a buzzing nearby, I run towards it. If I hear an evil cackle, that's when alarm bells go off and a more cautious approach is required. Running towards a cackle and finding a 2-star Spear Fuling is one of the game's nastiest surprises.

The strategy for luring deathquitos (wolf in a covered pit) is great, but as always, so much wood for killing them (and upkeep of the fire).... Curiously i use a basic strategy to keep them away, building a wall around the base (with moat ) and behind the wall i build some little set-up of woorkbenches to cover all the wall. And then no pop of mobs in the area (so no aggro ). Sorry for my bad english but i hope you understand what i want to say.

Tame your wolfs in the mountain in the first place. Breed a few locally and keep at least 2 in some mountain enclosure away from drakes.
Go down the mountain with a few. Make a breeder in a BF or meadows, breed an army of wolfs. After you have about 20, bring them to the plains. Build an enclosed breeder made of stone for these wolfs.
Go breeding then I guess. When it gets full, open the door and let a large number of wolfs roam your base. You will breed them faster than DS can kill them. Whenever you use your wolfs, bring the staff of protection with you and give them a nice cozy bubble to tank the DS hits easily.

I got lucky enough to have a small plains island? That I can use to farm more flax and wheat then I'll ever need, by placing workbenches across the island nothing spawns on it anymore and deathsquitos rarely find there way over

Neat idea! How close do you have to put those if you're trying to cover a decent perimeter?
What is with a windmill on the edges of your planes base. Should also kill all deathsquito that want to enter your base(I think you need ed a special wall design for this one).
