Today I share with you waakye recipe without colour enhancers so **NO Sorghum/Waakye leaves, NO Kanwa/Kenwu and NO bicarbonate
of soda/baking soda**. I will take you through step by step how you can make this with just beans and rice/black rice its so so delicious and you will love it. I hope you enjoy it. 🙏🏾❤️

Ingredients and Measurement
* 3 cups black eye beans +/- depending on how you like your Waakye
* 4 cups of rice - +/- depending on how you like your Waakye
*1 Cup Black Rice for a darker colour or
*1/4 cup black rice for a lighter colour
* 1.5 - 2 litres of water - +/- depending on how soft you like your Waakye

When I'm cooking waakye for just the family, I also don't leaves and baking soda mostly. But I use the red beans. The method you shared is a great way of making it too but I've never seen the black rice
