That was a real gut punch, wasn't it? Without the depths of her grief bringing that entire reality into being, she would never have had the memory of being able to let him go. She was forced to let him go once. Immediately after that, he was forcefully taken from her again. I mean... how many times can you ask her to let him go? It's no wonder she snapped. In the Parahumans universe ("Worm", by WildBow), powers manifest through traumatic moments. It makes sense that Scarlet Witch became fully manifest during this. And, I'm glad she got a chance to properly mourn her loss.

What I absolutely loved about this show that made it so special was that it was a superhero show, but not about the traditional superhero “saving the world antics”. The plotline was literally a woman who has to learn to overcome her grief and let go, it wasn’t some alien or magical crap (which is fun but overdone), it featured a superhero going through a very real, human experience (with some magic thrown in of course). Using Wanda’s magic and the alternate reality she created as a metaphor for a coping mechanism of denial was genius, the way we all want to or do trap ourselves in our own little fantasy world in our head when tragedy strikes was shown in a fantastic way that mixed superhero elements into an overall very genuine, emotional and human story. I’m a big marvel fan, but it was just so refreshing to see a superhero story that is 100% centered around the superhero overcoming grief and self destructive habits instead of a big villain or something was so refreshing. I know marvel movies have done it before, but usually it’s a small subplot if anything, but Wandavision’s entire plot centered around learning to let go and accept reality and I think that was so beautiful to see in a superhero story, such a human concept that could be easily related to.

My 11 year old cousin was diagnosed with cancer last year, she died very unexpectedly 3 weeks later. I watched this episode on a particularly bad day when I was struggling with my grief and depression. It felt exactly like how Wanda was describing, a wave threatening to drown me. This scene and that line truly helped my heart heal a little. The brilliant writers and cast deserve all the awards and recognition for their incredible work.

I'm a writer, novelist and screenwriter. I have a litmus test for other writers' work: 'Would I have loved being the one to write that?' In this instance, my response was 'YES! Absafuckinglutely!' But more; as someone with a substantial connection with Shakespeare, I also thought 'This could have come from the quill of The Bard.' It's a glorious piece of writing, speaking volumes in eight words. (I should also add that from my perspective, this isn't just applicable to losing someone to death. It's just as true when a profound relationship ends, whether it be in the coupled sense, a friendship, a pet...even a job or a place. And this for me, brings into play the Shakespeare reference, because he spoke so many 'universal truths'. That is, stuff that's applicable to more than just the scene within which the notion is spoken.)

Comparing things to Shakespeare is always risky, but I think you can get away with it in this case. Vision is written as a highly intelligent character trying to understand human issues from first principles; that’s extremely Shakespearean. (Has Bettany ever played Hamlet? Because that’s Hamlet’s schtick.) So when the writers give him a line which works, you get this whole sumnary of the human condition thing.

And I also like that Visions final fight in WandaVision is literally just him having an intellectual debate with his evil counterpart about the Ship of Theseus paradox. I like that he uses his robot intelligence to win. Im gonna miss him

Ah yes, I've lost my mom and my gf and I broke up shortly after. I grieve them both but each loss feels different. My mom is mostly the fact that I miss her. My ex is that I miss her but also regret the things that led to us breaking up. In my dreams we are always just about to reconcile, but then I do or say something and everything falls appart
