Very happy with GD. We sold our Reflection 5th wheel as more than needed. But loved how well it was designed. The windows are bigger than most and really add to the unit when inside. The rectangle shower and shower door awesome. The pull door cleans soap & moisture well. The black box in bedroom has fuse access i think. The Thomas Payne theater seats are so comfortable. This is the model we intend to replace the 5th with. Nice review👍
Thank you so much for your thoughts on this unit. I really like it too, although current prices trouble me a bit. I appreciate you watching and sharing your take on this.
Gr8 trailer & thorough review. Man I love the Kitchen drawers. No more crawling on the floor to access the Storage!!! - are the camper sides Asdel construction? Cheers, Eric
Good question Eric. I want to say yes, but frankly I’m not 100% sure. I do like this unit accept for the price. I should have bought this one I reviewed because it sold for $34k then, and look at them now.
@@JurgensJourneys Do you think these "XLS" ... Grand Design "lower-cost" models are as sturdy as your existing camper? I looked at a Lance 1475 with my wife last Saturday and I was blowing away by the construction... but far more stunned by the high price. Cheers, Eric
@@erickessler6094 I’m working on a Lance review right now, and agree. The Lance is my favorite, as far as construction. I’m not sure if I would pay that price though. A good used one might do well. But to answer your question, I don’t think my 2014 Winnebago is much superior to the new Grand Design. Mine is not even 4 seasons, which has not been an issue for our style of camping.
@@JurgensJourneys I've been studying several of the smaller couples trailers and upon each, they show me how remarkable the tiny Lance 1475 really is, well except for high price. For the next size category I must say, it is hard to do better than Grand Design or a single Axle. I like the Grand Design Imagine AIM16ML. My next favorite for larger it the GD XLS 22RBE. So many nice Campers, so little money 💰. 😉 Cheers, Eric
I really like the Grand Designs. We are new to camping and towing a trailer. When we decided to buy a TT so did everyone else in the country. The dealers in our area did not have much to choose from in the size we wanted. ( no longer than 24 ft). I like all their storage, nice kitchen area in the Grand Designs, however that is not what we ended up with. None in our area. Thanks for showing.
I really like the layout of this one. That little kitchen area is awesome. I don't know what was playing on the tv, but that dudes eyes were kind of spooky lol. They looked like they were either really bright blue or green. I know that has nothing to do with the trailer tour, but I just had to mention it cuz it stood out to me lol. Seems to be a really amazing amount of storage in this rig. I'm a big fan of being able to stash things away. Sure looks like a nice one.
Thanks 😃. I like it too, as you could tell. I don’t even know what was playing on that tv 📺 at the time, but now I’ll have to go back and see 😂. Glad you got a thrill 😂 out of my video. Thanks so much for watching and sharing ❤️!
I am certainly thinking about it, but not in this market. My camper, Chase, is still in excellent shape and will do just fine until things settle down. Thanks for your kind comment. Safe travels my friend.
Looks like a very nice rig. 4 seasons is a must for me on our next rig. I like that compass connect. Being able to see things on an app is helpful. Yes I like the sliding doors as well. Hello video guy. lol How many cats have you sat on? Just curious. lol Very nice rig man. You did a great job showing it. Man you got a voice for radio for sure. Always great to see and hear from you.
Lol. I know ... I would have gotten seriously scratched where the sun never shines, but that vibrating seat is nothing more that a purrrrrr. Thanks for taking time to watch, my friend. Sue really likes this one, but ... Not right now ... I thought you'd like that compass app. I like all the storage room and floor-space. Pretty good price for these day too. It was actually selling for less than the smaller 17MLE. Take care buddy.
Very beautiful inside. Would that thing in the bedroom by the bed be a speaker for the radio maybe?? I love how all RV'S LOOK I JUST DON'T LIKE HOW SMALL THE BATHROOM ARE IN THEM ... I'D LOVE TO SEE A PICTURE OF YOU WHEN WHERE YOUNGER 😉 YOUR A VERY HANDSOME MAN JUST WANTED TO PUT THAT IN THERE.. STAY SAFE OUT THERE ♥️👍
Thanks Mary! But you’re embarrassing 🙈 me. I still don’t know about the thing there in the bedroom. You could be right. Thanks so much for watching and sharing such an embarrassing comment 😂❤️👍.
Why not wait until until the 2023's come out to buy a 2022 model? We saved thousands when we bought our 2018 (new) in 2019. There's a lot to like about this trailer. Great lay-out. Love the barn style sliding doors for space savers. All the kitchen and bedroom storage is sweet. That's a huge bathroom. I'm not big on slides and it seems this trailer could be function-able without it. My guess is below the bedroom heating duct you have either the fuse panel or an access panel. Not sure though. Overall a very nice trailer. Great tour. Thanks for sharing. :)
Thanks Bob. Yes I will definitely wait to buy one of these, but Sue and I both love the layout and features. I do appreciate you taking time to watch my videos. I plan to do a few more of these as I have the time. I trust you guys are doing well, and have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your travels to the New England states. Take care you two and thanks again.
Very nice review, however I do not like the slide out beside the entrance door. Also don’t like the shower door. Other than that it’s very nice trailer but would not buy it because of those two things I mentioned. Glad to see you’re posting again thank you.
Thanks Herb. I have to agree with you on both counts. My biggest complaint is the price these days. Oh well … I m thankful for the one I have and will enjoy “window shopping” until the right one comes along at the right price. Thanks for your kind support.
Thats the one i really want but it seems so does everyone else!. Very expensive at almost $40,000. Nice trailer but DAMMN!… seems to me, the shower door would be the first thing to break. Hmmm
@@Swindy1794 You may be right, but this is not the time to buy one for me. Between the crazy truck and SUV prices and the ridiculous RV prices, I think I'll wait another year or two to see if things settle down a little. Then I might buy a nice Rockwood. Shucks ... I might just do a van build and forget the whole trailer thing Lol.
@@JurgensJourneys trailering can definitely become a real pain in the rear. Depends what kind of camping you’re planning on doing though. Full-time, weekend warrior or monthly. I’m still a working man at 53 so I’m thinking of setting up in a campground for the season and leaving it there. If I don’t like my neighbors, pack it up and go somewhere else. @@Swindy1794 Sounds like you're all set. I'm retired, and my wife and I used to do week-day camping in state and federal parks, so the Mini has served us well 3- 5 nights at a time. Never did like the weekend crowds. Now I would like to do some long, coast to coast, road-trips too, so I think the van without the trailer would be a better option if I set it up for that, especially with fuel prices like they are. We'll see ...
We just bought one picking it up tomorrow. Great video n narrated w ur clear voice thanks my friend safe travels.
